Knackered. Love the bit of the list that I’m in for: Spend weekend slobbing!.

I need to tidy away the kitchen, then it is pjs and slob. DH is out at the pub ( he wanted to stay in - I mean??!!!). DD is away. Peace reigns. Remote is on free for all.

HB - thank you, thank you, thank you. Package arrived today. XX

  • JoJo when we recruited last year I was surprised that the interview panel marked an applicant down for printing their forms out and completing them by hand. The forms were very neatly filled in but this is a bit of a no-no now apparently. I am clearly getting old because seeing that form all nicely written out showed to me that the applicant had taken some time and care over it.

So, bit of a bleugh few days. Really challenging stuff going on at work and no-one at home is capable of bringing in the washing, emptying the DW or taking the rubbish out it seems. DS1 has been given the all clear to go back to college after a few weeks of physiotherapy - which realistically we will have to pay for.

There are five of us here this weekend (including one GF) and I am NOT spending the weekend serving up meals, cleaning the kitchen, emptying the DW, sweeping the floor and generally being an unpaid servant.

First task today is to check our online banking and see how our finances are looking.

    Morning

Note to self: when hairdresser tells you she is suffering from anxiety and seems to be spending a really long time on one side of your head while she tells you why, and then has to match the other side to the side she's just [STRIKE]scalped[/STRIKE] carefully trimmed very, very short you wake up the next morning without the ability to  !!!! It'll grow :D (It won't lie flat this morning though so I look as though I've gone punk :rotfl:)

I'm feeling a bit what-should-Weekend-Willi-do-now-that-Roundtuit-has-kept-on-top-of-the-pots-ish? Not that there's nothing to do; there are just soooo many do-me-next jobs. :o

I'll do the 'dailies' and see what flows from that.

Anyone want to join me in a HHC starting at 9?

    Morning all.

You are on a roll today, Round!

It’s a quiet one here. I was going to take a look at the allotment but the drizzle has put me off. I might potter in the greenhouse in a bit or I will waste the entire day. DH is tackling the back bedroom so I think it’s only fair that I leave him to it ;)

    Good morning Fayolle xx

No drizzle here. Sunny and breezy so I'm planning on putting out my washing when it has finished swishing.

    In my HHC I:

    set the timer
    unloaded WM
    reloaded WM and set swishing
draped 1st load of washing on radiators and airer
sorted through large black bin bag of 'stuff' that has been sat in the living room since DS wrote off his car - not sure if it was two years ago, or three. Maybe longer :o We shoved everything in his boot in to the bin bag and dumped it behind a chair (as you do :o) and there it has rested until last night when I moved the bag in to the kitchen, my RIP (Room In Progress), where I had to step over it to get to the cupboards/ microwave / oven. I knew I'd soon get fed up with that - gone now :T Contents (mostly promotional stuff from the job he had then (so it's three years in April) has been recycled or binned. Normal sized carrier bag of personal items deposited in DS's bedroom so he can keep / sling as desired.
asked DS what's the matter as he looked very glum. He'd got weighed … yeah it makes me :( too when I do that. We resolve to lose weight together
    put new toothpaste in bathroom
sort through another carrier bag left on kitchen floor many moons ago when DS returned home from Budapest. I didn't know this until I found the plane tickets :o Toiletries, hat, sunglasses to be deposited in DS's room. Rubbish binned. Loose change (English, I checked) put in charity box. That's a bit more floor :D
Shredded for 2 minutes 35 seconds
    beeeep

Wow that was a productive 30 minutes :T

WM has just stopped swishing. I'll hang out the washing and reload the WM before I have a coffee.

Just me and DH here until this evening when the dogs arrive back from their sleepover. So we had a lie in, then went out for breakfast, and since getting back I've spent two hours tidying the front garden. Going to relax for a bit now before deciding what to tackle next.
Spend less now, work less later.
