And for some obscure reason I feel the need to lob an exploding Weetabix in pigpen's direction. It's lobbed with love - and won't spoil your decorating as the birds will eat it long before it reaches the Humber ;) Get well soon xx

Feel free.. but if it goes on my windows I'm still not cleaning it off.. I've waited months for OH to clean this lot off I can do it again!

Washing, pots and drying done again.. that is pretty much all I have done today. Cold is a bit better I think.. I've managed without snorting legal substances!

I have so many appointments lined up.. we've had none for months and now there are loads... I'm run off my feet!!

Parent/tutor for Moomin tomorrow and nail appointment and I need to get a tesco order doing.. might do that now actually..

love and hugs and all that jazz... xx

    Morning all.
Been up since 4am as DD is away on a school trip. Eyelids are now resisting the open position so this is not boding well for a full day at work. My stomach is growling as it obviously thinks it’s lunchtime!
I’m going to load the wm now for DH to switch on when he gets back home. He’s gone off full of redundancy doom and gloom. Again. Oh happy Fridays!
    Hugs all round. X

    Morning

and a special :hello: for MadamMim because you made me feel good about myself yesterday :D

Frosty one here this morning - watching DS scrape the ice from his car as I type. My turn soon :o

I'm ready for work - or as ready as I ever am on a Friday! Only one more week to [STRIKE]survive[/STRIKE] do, then I have a week off. Woot woot.

I've tidied the top of the side table next to my chair this morning. Just a quick straighten-that doesn't belong on there-recycle that-type tidy but it looks better for it.

I'll be decluttering some hair on my way home from work :) Then I'll no doubt fall in to the chippy opposite the hairdressers to pick up some tea - then home and let the weekend commence :D

Weekend Willi will be pleased that Roundtuit has been active during the week ;)

    Have a good one,
    Rxx

  • No flying done here yesterday, was at work from early then DD2 rang up in crisis about her trip to London and what baggage could they take etc. Result was as soon as finished work ran round various shops to get her a suitable sized bag. Of course with it being Valentines day town was much busier than usual so it took longer than expected. Result was OH and I got in late so enjoyed a much needed glass of wine and easy supper.

Today should be better, I am at home but have a telephone evaluation to do in half an hour but that won't take long and I don't have to both with make up etc. So far

Pellet stove emptied and thoroughly cleaned , reloaded and back on
    Bed folded back
    Dirty clothes in laundry
    WM 1
Windows been open but closed again
    Lounge tidied and hoovered round
Book ordered for OH for work and then cancelled again as boss has ordered it for him
    Bins brought in from road
    Time sheets updated

Off to put recycling etc out and then make coffee and find my bits for this evaluation

    Have a good day

Having a day off visiting today as my aunt and uncle have offered to go.
Typically I have a sore throat, earache and achey joints.

    Dehumidifier behind tv refilled
Annoying gap-in self closing toilet seat cleaned with cotton buds. I usually blast it with a steam cleaner but don’t feel strong enough today.

Living room dysoned (not in corners)

It sounds as though you might be a bit run down, Dancemum, which is hardly surprising with the amount you're doing at the moment. (((Hugs)))
Thinking of you Mrs MP. (((Hugs)))

Well done on the Toot's list item, Ionafan.

Roundtuit, you will get there and being a Flylady is the way to do it. I said I'd been Flying for five years, actually I think it may be six or seven, but you have no idea how bad this house was. It wasn't filthy but it was grubby and it was piled up to the rafters (quite literally) with stuff. It really has taken me all that time to get it to a manageable state and without everyone here I could never have got this far. Now I'm just working on my To Do list, which is getting a bit shorter day by day. When that's finished I should be able to keep up with the daily lists.

Another Slinky fail here. I am getting bigger in the tummy department. This has to stop.

Today's jobs were cleaning the oven and washing all the filters from the vacuum cleaners. I can't get one out, so that'll have to go to the Dy$0n doctor chap. I clearly didn't fit it as well as I should have done when I put it back in last time, about three years ago. Petp1@n chased about an unpaid Kelpie claim; boy have they given me the runaround on this one.

Three loads through the WM and dangled; kittens allowed out for an hour; Higgs was very good, Twiggle is still trying to escape, the little minx.
    Better is good enough.
  • Projected Redundancy Payment notified. Mehhhhhh. It's OK, but won't give us enough breathing space if there is no other money coming in. And they still can't get the finish date right - which meant the boss had a fit, as if I go then, they're completely stuffed. Also had a meeting where I had to list the things I do/could do (theoretically so that it's a case for not getting rid, but it'll also serve as a 'by the way, you'll now have to take on these hundred odd specialist tasks' for anybody left).

Himself reckons that since I told him about this, he's applied for fifty jobs.

I've seen a couple of vacancies of things I should be able to do and would maintain my length of service/employment rights/pension within the local authority, but I'm so out of the loop, it's going to take me forever to try and put everything down that means I meet their job spec and it's all done online, which I hate compared to being able to write something out in longhand. The money would be somewhere in the region of tripling my salary, so I wouldn't mind missing out on the lump sum if that were the case.

Spent last night at a trad. session, which was fun (and a very rare night out), I have a card and some red Tulips to look at, too.

Himself is off some time tomorrow and might be back on Sunday to help get things ready in case the new boiler is ready for Monday - I have no idea what the booked appointment is for otherwise.

And at some point, Himself is supposed to be going back home for a week to check in on his father. Hopefully the weather will be improved enough to actually get him out of the flat.

I'm also hoping that physically holding the offer letter and seeing in black and white that I am not going to be keeping us in comfort for months is providing enough encouragement to Himself to keep on applying [strike]or actually doing it rather than claiming to and then apparently going back to bed all day as I suspect he has been doing again[/strike].

I need food, a bath and my bed.

Tomorrow can be for some more deep cleaning, but tonight? Nothing.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
