Do I have any rights if I accepted a goodwill gesture?

Apologies for the long post.
On Friday the 8th February 2019 I travelled from Glasgow to Turkey, for a weeks holiday in Alanya at the Experia Grand Bali Hotel. Upon my arrival at Antalya airport I made my way to the shuttle and got on. While we sat waiting for other passengers, someone from the company came on and told me that my hotel was closed until April.
I then had to phone my booking company (who had no knowledge of the hotel being closed, or so they said). I then had to sit about outside the airport while the booking company tried to get alternative accommodation from their supplier.
After 3 hours and 5 calls to the booking company and 3 from them (at a cost of over £50) I was given a new hotel which I had to make my own way to. Thankfully the person from the transfer company had said that his friends company would get me there rather than paying for a taxi.
The booking company had said to email them receipt for transport cost, upon doing this I also attached screenshots in regards to the cost of calling them and them calling me. I was told they dont normally reimburse cost for calls and the person would need to speak to someone to see what could be done.
They later came back to me saying that while they couldn't pay the full £73 that the £8.10 it cost for transport was obviously not sufficient and could offer me £50 as a goodwill gesture.
I since found a review on Tripadvisor from November 2016 in which the person was moved to a sister hotel because this one was closing for the season, so this is not a one off situation. It seems like this hotel regularly closes over winter and if not the booking company then the supplier should have known this and it should never have been available to book.
Can I take this further despite having accepted the goodwill gesture from the booking company? Do I have a claim with my travel insurance?
Just to be clear: I am not looking for some ridiculous payout as some seem to think. I just want to know that I have been paid what I should have been.
I have redacted some of this as apparently mentioning the fear I felt at what was happening and at what could have happened means I'm a scrounger.

Ask for reimbursement for your full out of pocket expenses, so an additional £31.10, and a further sum for the inconvenience - say £50. Forget all the "what if" rubbish as it didn't happen and a couple of hours delay is extremely commonplace when going on holiday. Further compensation may be due however if the hotel you relocated to was of a lower standard or was advertised at a lower price than the one you booked.0

While yes a few hours delay is commonplace that is normally due to delays with flights etc and I expect problems like that. Being delayed due to having booked a hotel through a reputable company, only to get to airport to be told it is closed is not commonplace and the hotel should never have been available to book in the first place.0 -

I agree with the 2nd post, you're entitled to ask for the remainder of your pot of pocket expenses plus any difference in cost of the hotel.
You obviously don't agree with that based on your reply, so what is it you want to hear? You're entitled to a free holiday , an apology from the President of Turkey and some new scatter cushions?0 -

I did not say I did not agree with what I should ask for, what I did not agree with was the statement that what happened to me is a commonplace occurrence.
Also that and your reply is only in response to compensation from the company it does not say whether I have any come back with my travel insurance. If I don't that is fine, I just want what I am legally entitled to.0 -

None of us can read your policy documents, but mine doesn't cover me for the "stress" of what might have happened, but didnt.0 -

Urgh you sound like my ex. Why do you think you're entitled to anything other than what had been suggested already?
As above, no-one can read your travel insurance wording, however as it's usually a defined scenario based cover (i.e. lost bags, cancellation, medical expenses etc) it should be easy for you to quickly skim and see if you're due anything.0 -

Where did I say I was wanting compensation for stress that might have happened? All I asked was if I should have accepted the goodwill gesture or was I entitled to more (ie the full costs incurred). This has been answered in regards to the company I then asked a simple question in regards to insurance. All you and others had to say was you didn't know.
Seriously if I was after some huge payout I would not have accepted £50 in the first place.
This is the last time I will be asking for advice on what I thought was a legitimate and respectable forum.0 -

As I have already stated.
