  • What a bummer Scarlett.
That is very harsh giving you more than him, I'm shocked TBH.

I really don't get that 'obtaining credit with no reasonable prospect of paying' bit, surely that could apply to all of us  if we all had crystal balls we'd not be BR.

Hey ho my love, as you say, no huse dwelling, and if you fight it and lose you'll end up with a BRO.
    ((((((((((:heart2: ))))))))))

I was shocked too....... "raging" would probably be a better description :o

I didn't really "get it" either  and I'm not sure how they can say we should have known we were insolvent in Jan 2007 because we didn't miss a payment on anything until Oct 2007. Oh well, ho hum

Look at it this way - BRU's will be off your credit file before the 6 years of your BR, so it has little effect on you.

Like IPA's, they have BRU targets, so you may have just been one of the unlucky ones.
  • After DD,s post a while ago i would agree with JSC1, but with differant wording, scapegoat comes to mind, there is presure to make BR apear tougher, sounds like you drew the short straw:confused:

Not that it matters, it means nowt anyway, so let them play there games, at least its all over now, so you can put it all behind you now and move on:D
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(

Sorry to hear your news but as JCS says at least it will be off your credit file quite quickly.

Hope you both have a good Christmas despite this.

  • Hiya Scarlett.....good to hear from you Hun,

The bru is just one of those things...I so understand your lack of `fight` to argue it!!!!! remember that your credit file is Kn*ckered anyway so what the hell....life is sh*t at times but you`re through the worst!!!

So put the letter away....stand up straight & have a FABULOUS CHRISTMAS!!!!! The past has gone now.....

  • Am really sorry to hear that Scarlett, and upset on your behalf, especially about the bits you didn't put in about the letter. It could be me, and still could be me. I haven't heard anything for a long time. Hoping sleeping dogs are lying.

It also doesn't make any sense, but on the other hand, BRU does seem to be very much without teeth, unless you are in business, it is just the stigma, and the unpleasantness that goes with it.

Anyway, please do have a good Christmas and let it go to the back of your mind.

    All the best xxx

  • :T Thank you all for your support, as always :)

I'm really okay with it, honestly I am - I don't know if it's because the actual face to face interview shattered me so badly that this seems like nothing or the fact that these happy pills now seem to be working very nicely - but whatever it is, I'm glad!

I'm not dwelling on it - what's done is done and in the grand scheme of BR this doesn't really make any difference anyway. 2 months tomorrow we'll be discharged and it will then, hopefully, finally, be over :)

    Hi Scarlett,
I'm so sorry about the BRUs. Like you say, the same argument could be used against any of us. I hope the happy pills keep working, and if waving a gun at that kitten is good therapy, just keep on doing it.
