Oh, you lucky thing, on your jolly-hollies and bless you for taking the time to post, much appreciated
OR said yesterday that there were no available dates until the end of the month for us both to be interviewed one after the other and to be honest, neither of us wanting hanging over us for that long, so we're just going with it - H on Friday and me on Monday.
I did LOL @ the bit I've highlighted in bold though :rotfl: At this rate I'm not sure if we're EVER going to be discharged  He's considering me for a BRO too now (how kind) so I think we can safely wave goodbye to any chance of ED
Am feeling a bit more "sod it" today - what's the very worst that can happen? A telling off maybe and a BRO........ and seeing that I have no intention of being a director of a company or a magistrate then really, it's not the end of the world
I'm still getting some rather unpleasant lurches in my stomach when I think about the interview (I have the OR as looking rather like Hannibal Lecter in my imagination) but looking on the bright side - this time next week it will be over.
Hi Scarlett,
I do apologise for that "faux pas". I had a parasol in one hand and a bucket of sangria in the other.
When I thought about your post in more (sober) depth, I couldn't get on line, and this is the first time since we got back.
I think everything I could have said has already been said, so unless I've missed something, you're probably well prepared.

Hi Fyp,
It's good to be back (online), not sure about anything else though. :rolleyes:0 -
Welcome back Rich, hope you had a great holiday
I'm about as ready as I can be for tomorrow I think <gulp>. It helped that it all went 'okay' for himself, he said the OR was decent and professional. Just hope he's had a nice weekend and isn't in a bad mood tomorrow <wibble>
Still ever so slightly stunned that I'm getting a BRU (maybe I was in denial?!) but realising that it's NOT the end of the world and hey - maybe Potless and I will have the dubious "honour" of being the first husband and wife to receive BRUs on MSE?You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

Hi Scarlett,
It was a very enjoyable break, and even civil war amongst the two remaining "sprogs" left at home hasn't taken the edge off it.
I was desperate to avoid a BRU/O so I really do know how you feel, but in the overall scheme of things I don't think it makes that much difference. We've cleaned up our credit files, and applied for a credit card, and been turned down, but applied for a mortgage and were accepted. It's a very confusing world at the moment.
We used our pre-paid MasterCard to hire a car abroad, and really, we don't need credit for anything else. I felt vulnerable being abroad without a credit card but the gold ingots we hung on to were some reassurance ;-)
The one thing that I find hard to accept is that the I.S staff are monitored on the number of IPA/O's and BRU/O's they impose, and that just seems perverse to me.

I know, I know! <hangs head in shame>.
I'm the sort of person though, that I don't seem to think life is 'normal' unless I've got something to worry aboutYou can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that
