Phew we're back! a MILLION thanks to Martin and the team for mending the forum again
Busy day planned for me today, I'm going to defrost the freezer and rearrange it so I have room for Christmas goodies :T , I have to make a loaf of bread and HM pizza for dinner tonight and zoom round the house with the vacuum and vinegar spray before Kim and Aggie come and get me. I'm trying to get some stuff sewn for a weekend away at the end of the month and also finish off my handmade Christmas cards, I've only got today to do those since I have a hectic week ahead. Still would hate to get bored :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone. Many hugs :kisses3: :grouphug: to those feeling under the weather, hope you feel better soon. Hugs to Pink's DS too, hope things are getting better for you.

Glad to see everyone is back!
I sat down yesterday for a quick visit, and there we were -GONE!
Defrosting some batch cooked quorn mince to have with yellow stickered small potatoes (wanted to say 'new' but if they are short dated???) for dinner tonight.
Shall start WM in a minute and then get back to clearing out the sideboard. Wish I could hire a skip and empty the whole house at once, like in Life Laundry! Still, slow but sure wins the day.
I confess, I am fascinated by 'I'm a Celebrity' - I swear the eels looked relieved that they did not have to share a tank with Janice D...I would pay good money to watch Ant and Dec in a bush tucker trial too!
Oh well, off to the side board - no point in trying to shout 'get me out of here!'
Have a great MSE day.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
:hello: Morning all!
glad we're back to normal!:j
meeting at school went ok, he's having major organisational problems but the school are at last trying to help him. They have allotted a person to help him liase with teachers about what he needs to do, but this is only once or twice a week but better than nothing. They are preparing a list for him with everything he needs to catch up on and a date of when its got to be in by. This is on top of normal homework. I managed to get him to do some homework last night but its a struggle, he's just turned himself off from school work as its got too much for him. At least now I will know what he needs to do so hopefully can try and keep on top of it. I will be so glad when its under control.
off to work later and got a sleep-in so not home until 5.30 tomorrow:eek:

Yes isn't it great to be back:D At first I thought it was just me, 5 minutes to change a page:rolleyes: Eventually it just died and then I knew we were all affected;)
I've got this sickness bug now too, so couldn't do much yesterday, so could have spent an entertaining yet guilt-free day here:rotfl: Shame it was down, still well done techies getting it back:T :T
It's cold here this morning and just coming on to rain, so the washing will go in the TD. I don't feel much like eating even though I'm hungry, but have said they'll have to raid the freezer for *ready meals* because it's not a good idea for sickly people to prepare food for others;)
Hugs to the Pinks, hope Adam is improving. And huge ((((((hugs)))))) to poor little Haribo, who missed out on pre-hospital ones:rotfl:(hope it went well, is the lawnmower blunt:p )

Poor old Churchie, I hope you are feeling soon dear. Whatever is going around seems to be a right floor banger of a bug.
Taplady, glad to hear that those in charge are taking notice of your son at last.
I am almost too scared to post now as I know MSE Forums have been most unwell too....Get Well Soon!
Today I got up earlyish and did quite a bit of cleaning (or rather mucking out as the house is such a mess). I had lunch out with a friend in a lovely posh shop nearby which has a fantastic restaurant. It was gorgeous, so much nicer than anything I've ever eaten in a shop before. I had pizza - it was freshly made, not out of a packet, you really can tell - and a lovely fresh crispy salad. Yummy... After I went to the library to return books and get some new ones out. The selection there is very out of date, so I just take anything at random as mostly I've never heard of the authors.
I need to finish my cleaning and polishing, so cheerio for now.

Ah! I can't get to the recipes as I keep getting a quick reply box instead and the search comes up with nothing so I guess we are not over the hill yet. I will make something else today and try again tomorrow.
Hope all those feeling poorly especially those with the stomach bug feel better soon.

Heeeey it's Catznine!!! Haven't seen you for yonks and yonks Catz, hope you are OK, and that hubs and baby puppy are doing fine too.
I had a look in the Indexed collections and there seems to be nothing there but fresh air. Oooops! I do hope these technical geniuses can get this sorted out... Poor Squeaky is going to pass a brick when he finds out what has happened.
