£23 and some copper made at the car boot - that will cover all the top ups I need to the end of the month so dont need to break into the £50 - I feel like moving it over to one of the saving pots but that also feels like tempting fate that something will come up and I need to be able to get to it - oh well its nice to have the option of what to do with a bit of spare cash :)

Oh when you said that OH had been in touch I thought you were going to say that he wanted to come back! So pleased that this was not the case. And yes, you most certainly should accept the payment, no question about it.

You sound to be doing amazingly well in your job - go you - but I would do the same, explain to the boss that you are clearly a capable and talented sales woman, but you need some more product training to ensure that mistakes are not made going forward - you will surely be admired and respected for your honesty and integrity.

You are doing so so well, I am sending you a virtual cheer from the side lines

had the meeting at work today with the boss and all good - plan of action put in place to tighten up the systems and give me the support I feel I need so I can really get my head down and get on with selling now and start earning some proper commission.

cant wait for payday to come around again so I can pay some more off :)

Fantastic news, clearly they value you and want to spend the time and effort in training you, which must make you feel very valued, and goodness me you deserve to be.

rent arrears totally clear as of earlier today when final payment was made - and have reduced my OD by £50. Still have cash left to last me through to payday - happy days.

time to start building my hit list for what I pay next month :j

plan for payments this month are:-
    1. clear overdraft
    2. money into EF
    3. clear CC

that is in addition to all bills paid in cash and on time and aim to keep a couple of £100 in my current account as an emergency buffer. All doable, not exciting but that's ok with me.

I'm thinking about my job, I'm coming up to about 4 weeks left of my trial period and am well ahead in terms of my sales vs my target, like 25% ahead of target. I am getting the extra help I asked for and it is settling down a bit with my feeling 'hanging' with having to get on with it. The commute is good and for the first time in however many years I have a work life balance - what I dont have is any decent commission for at least the next 6 months as that is how long it takes the bulk of my payment to kick in. I can live on my basic and have a sizeable disposable income left from my basic but I still feel like I can earn more - which I have in the past. I dont know maybe I want my cake and to eat it …. I need to learn to be satisfied with what I have.

I think I wouldn't rock the boat at the moment. Good commute, and good work life balance along with enough money to see a sizeable disposable income is not to be sniffed at.
It takes time to really assess where you are and where you want to be and there has been a massive change in your circumstances just recently. Give yourself a year or so and look at things again then. In the meantime enjoy what you have. X

Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Totally agree with Chrystal on this one - this is the best it has been for YEARS - and it will continue to improve. I know you must be impatient to clear this pesky debt for good and get on with your shiny new life, but I would really hesitate about moving jobs again just now.

Good luck with whatever you decide

Yes I know you're right about the job - maybe I'm just feeling a bit unsettled. I am happier with how things are but I still feel like I should be making more progress than I am - patience has never been a strong point :)

no plans over the bank holiday weekend - ive got the Tuesday off so it makes a 4 day break which will be good. Pity I dont get paid till Tuesday but I'm going to make the most of the sun.

No other updates - I'm beginning to realise how boring my life is - work, eat and sleep. I need to find a hobby or reacquaint myself with friends that I let slip when OH was on the scene. Time for me to start rebuilding some social life and friendships again.

Such a positive attitude. Now you're getting life back on an even keel you're going to learn where you can fit your old life back in. Whether its Thursday after work drinks or lunch on Sundays? Zumba on mondays? Whatever it is that would suit you. You can do this xxx
    Loan 1 £5200/£8000
    Loan 2 £300/£5800
