You can follow the set aside route as an alternative to paying them as advised in #27

I can, but that's an extra £510 with no guarantee of getting it back, even if I win the case.

For the 2 Judgments received that I didn't defend, I've now received letters from ELMS legal demanding £275 within 7 days or they'll be sending a field agent to visit the property.

I still have 2 weeks to pay the original judgments, should I ignore these letters? Respond and tell them I'm paying the original court requested amount? VCS really are scum, I don't know how their employees sleep at night.

I'll be sending another letter to my MP shortly...

How long are you going to be living abroad?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Others will confirm/comment, but if you're going to be permanently out of the country, why would you be concerned about an unsatisfied CCJ?

Well, I don't want to have any debts when I leave the UK. I think that's immoral, despite how immoral VCS are.

Secondly, the address I'm registered to is my parents address. My Dad has the same name as me, and it can just lead to confusion and pain.

Ask over on the LegalBeagles forum, where legally focused/qualified contributors are more active, so you can then know your full legal rights/implications. This forum is one with simple roots based on fighting private parking charges at first stage.

Morphing into the courts' domain has been forced on the forum by the burgeoning and malevolent use of the county court system by the PPCs to chase their prey, but we do not claim to be all things to all men (and women!), wherever the extension to the original parking charge takes them.

    Different strokes for different folks!

LegalBeagles were helpful and that one has now been resolved.

I'm at the witness statement stage for the original reason for starting this thread and I have a question about NTD/NTH. The letter they sent me was a notice to driver, so I'm wondering if they've failed POFA for the 21 day time limit for a NTH and whether it's worth me including this for the Witness Statement please?

Also, slightly off topic, but my local MP was very interested to hear about the situation and seems very keen to help with how it should be in the future. Everyone going through these hours of work should also spend a few minutes writing to their MP to help get them on side too.
