PINK-WINGED - so good to hear from you that the doctors know what they're dealing with. You've been through a nightmare, haven't you? Many (((hugs))) to Adam and to you as well. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

AUSSIELASS - (((hugs))) to you DGS. Hope he feels better soon.

(((hugs))) also to all who seem to be coming down with bugs and lurgies; just comfort yourself with the thought that you won't be ill over Christmas.

Well, just washed the floor, cleaned and dusted right through, prepped veggies for dinner, made pudding and am about to go to the shops followed by the gym. Ironing might get done later - or it might not!

    See you all later.

REDRUBY - thank you so much for the explanation - I can see what 'bumping' means, now! The pm I had was written in a very 'cross' tone and it would have been helpful if the poster had explained what 'bumping' meant. I knew I could count on someone here helping me. Thanks again! By the way, I hope the frost does clear in Littlehampton this morning - my DH is working there, outside and up a ladder! Hopefully, he's well covered!

    Hi Kathy,

you will be glad to know its now a bright beautiful day, very cold but nice, my OH works outside too, and he really appreciates a hot dinner when he gets in, but they seem to get used to the cold don't they ?

Where abouts is he working ? do you live close to Littlehampton ?

Hugs to Adam Pink :D , not sure he would appreciate being called that ! also good luck to auntie harribo.

There seems to be lots of bugs going round, take it easy everyone, hope your recovery is swift xxx

    Good morning everybody,

Very cold here this morning, had to clear ice from windscreen of car at 8.10...must take in rest of delicate pots and baskets later...when it warms up a bit!

Not feeling my best this morning, have spoken to doc, as he had reduced my 'old ' medication to three a week and given me another for the in between days...has been getting progressively less effective all last week and felt dreadful yesterday....dizzy, head buzzing and slight nausea...so back on 'old' meds full time again, bit disappointed as hoped that I was getting there, but I am on half the medication I was on this time last year so progress has been made.

Getting all living room ornament (dustcatchers) together in boxes today so that I can clean more easily and leave room for Christmas decorations, which will go up around 18th December, DGD1 arrives on 19th so must be up by then. Planning on moving peninsular unit in kitchen this week sometime...haven't told OH yet as he panics at the thought of DIY. Can't really afford to completely refurbish kitchen as I want to do so am going to move unit, get new hob where I want it to go and do something else when I have the money...terrified of borrowing money so will do as I save this time.

Still trying to empty freezers so today dinner is: one steak (OH), one pasta ( visitor who will be too late to eat with us) Stew ( DD4 and DGS2) and end of chicken stir-fry for me. Will try to take out something that will make the same for us all for to-morrow!

Going to do a little more in my bedroom...why have I bought all these clothes? Must admit that some are the best part of ten years old and they seem to be the ones I wear most

Good luck in hospital Pink, Adam and Haribo.

Hugs to all suffering in any way for any reason

    Morning.

Very late post for me. I feel gross with a stomach type bug. It's one of those type that makes you not want to eat anything. So I have been slouching about the house today. I am supposed to go to work at 1pm, but it's 50/50 as to whether I shall bother. I have only had a few days sick in 25 years and so I generally turn up and suffer. But as you get no extra thanks for it........ why bother ?

I might just weld myself to this thing for the day.

    hello again!

Pink - thanks for keeping us informed about Adam - my DS1 is also an Adam!

(((hugs))) to all those with tummy bugs or colds xxx

N9eav - have the day off! I usually do the same as you and go in and suffer but as you said no one thinks any the more of you for it and it seems everyone else takes time off without a thought!

Aussie - hope GDS soon gets better and that you dont have too bad a night!
    Warning - rant coming!
am off to the school at 4.30 for a meeting with the head of year and my son to discuss him being behind with all his work. I think the pressure has got too much for him and he has switched off. The school seem to forget that untill a couple of years ago he had a statement of special educational needs and got extra help:rolleyes: when that was taken away because he had done so well the school just dropped him and left him to get on with it! He went to 4 special units before he entered mainstream so has done remarkably well to get where he has! - he has a mild autistic spectrum disorder/language disorder and didn't speak till he was nearly 5. it is just so stressfull:mad: This is his whole future at stake(he's about to do GCSEs)
Hope we can sort something out.

    Rant over;)

Off for a browse now, catch you later xx
