My electricity is with Ebico. And don't want to switch to British Gas as their prices are obviously expensive but service is good, I reckon. Now I am looking at the following:
Orbit Energy (10% for Life Tariff)
              Unit rate: £0.14711
              Standard rate: £0.20998
    Octopus (Super Green Tariff)
              Unit rate: £0.15026
              Standard rate: £0.21672
Symbico is the cheapest I found.
I am not sure about their customer service of these suppliers though.
You'll be switched to British Gas whether you like it or not.
Those Orbit and Octopus rates are hopeless.
Did you do a full market comparison starting with Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?'?
Citizens Advice rate Octopus higher than BG but Orbit as lower.
You don't have to look for a new tariff because BG will match or beat your existing Ebico tariff.
Thanks Gerry for the reply. I have 2 electricity meters, one is on zero standing charge tariff by Ebico. You think BG will match it? BG doesn't do zero standing tariff. Thanks!

"We recently announced that British Gas has purchased our business. It means that over the next few weeks and months, all of our customers, including those that we serve through our White Label partners will be moved across to British Gas.

"We’ve chosen British Gas as the new home for our customers because they’ve promised to look after you and to match or beat the price of your current tariff with us
"1. Will my tariff name stay the same?

    A. British Gas will explain what your tariff name will be when they send your welcome pack. If you're on a fixed price deal and the product name does change, British Gas have agreed that your prices will either remain the same or be reduced.

"1. Will my terms and conditions remain the same?

    A. British Gas will be writing to all customers to outline how the transfer will affect them. Your prices will either stay the same or come down, but you’ll move onto new terms and conditions. They'll explain all of this in their welcome packs to you."

That's my daughter jumped to Neon Reef, £2.91 a year dearer than the Symbio variable. We will argue about her end of tariff date if it comes to it.
I don't finish until Nov but might go earlier - Outfox is showing cheapest for me.

And me gone to Neon Reef as well, £3.23 more than Symbio cheapest.  Luckily I will be in debit to them so no trying to get anything back.
The Outfox tariff seems to have gone now.

Just got my final bill. What a mess. Charged an exit fee as they quoted the renewal account on the bill. The account I am on has no exit fee and anyway I left just before the end within the 49 day period. Check your final bill closely when leaving.

Since it looks like I might be remaining with Symbio, does the "free units" still work?

I've had enough - 12 months of random billing and silly estimates - so I'm going to Neon Reef on 1st October. Let's see how good they are.

Companies like BG, Octopus, Orbit etc are far too expensive for me. I'm with Symbio who are probably probably the cheapest but you need to get your head around their strange billing/estimating system so I'd be inclined I'd give them a miss (unless you like a mental challenge every month)

Try Neon Reef, Gerry reckons that they are OK and I'm tempted to jump over from Symbio to them even though it will probably cost me an extra £20 a year.
Symbio is also coming in cheap for, I'm moving into a new property so coyld do with things being easy to start of with, is Symbio that much of a pain?

My Symbio tariff is up for renewal on 1st October.  I've chosen their Low Fair & Green Variable SE03v1 at 11.46p and 19p/day.  Hopefully that will save the hassle of having to change suppliers!  We shall see!
