Symbio Energy feedback

I was fairly happy with symbio and EAC/12 until the dec 19 email:
"Our system has unfortunately applied summer estimates and as a result, the October and November estimated bills were significantly lower than the actual energy supplied by Symbio Energy to our customers...blah blah blah".
This was followed with the huge increase in the Jan 20 estimate and the subsequent climbdown when they were inundated with complaints. Since then I have accepted their over estimation for the remainder of what they class as the winter period and have paid their bills without complaint.
I am hoping that they will acknowledge that based on their own website they should now be reverting to summer use from April and estimate accordingly. ATM all they are doing is reimbursing me at the end of each month and then taking it all back with their inflated winter estimate0 -
Another overinflated bill here, however they will only be taking the agreed fixed Direct Debit which is significantly less than the alleged 'usage' that they are forecasting for April.
Fixed Direct Debit seems like the way forward, I no longer have to try and get to the bottom of their estimated bills, it's just MY E/12 now.0 -
Symbio have estimated 60% more than my actual March usage for April, and they seem to have put me on a fixed direct debit according to the email. However the bill makes not mention of the fixed direct debit amount and the fixed amount is greater than the bill. So the bill doesn't show if I'm in debit or credit. What a shambles.

The fixed Direct Debit amount only seems to appear in the body of the email, not on the bill, as you say, what a shambles.bubieyehyeh said:Symbio have estimated 60% more than my actual March usage for April, and they seem to have put me on a fixed direct debit according to the email. What a shambles. What does the billing summary on page 1 of the bill show then? I don't think I could cope with fixing the direct debit and having yet another "balance" to track in my spreadsheet! At least with the variable direct debit approach, the books are balanced every month. One positive aspect of their excessive estimates is that it boosts the number of free kWh they give me. On this month's bill, they've given me 22kWh free as their estimate for the single day of 1st April, whereas actual consumption is currently averaging 13kWh per day.For those playing Symbio's spelling error bingo - this month's words are: payble, calclulation & qualityassuarance@symbioenergy.co.uk0

I'm just saving up the money and have given them a meter read on the 31st March. The 8 weeks have passed so I can now take my case to the Ombudsman. Fingers crossed you get your compensation soon. However Guru promised me everything was 110 percent only to get my account closed down and then latest reads obliterated.Tafrock said:Lord no wonder guru couldn't afford to pay my compensation. Nothing here either. As I left on 25th March I'm taking this as a good sign, in that they are not trying to bill me for an April estimate. As billed they owe me 350 units (c£42) but I am also sitting on 255 "free" unbilled units from January when I put in a mid-month reading, so I am just going to sit back and chill.CRISPIANNE3 said:No sign of a bill as yet!
