I'm not doubting the integrity of the Which comparisons and they obviously work out for the 'average' shop. But I think I probably save even more by shopping in Aldi because of the products I choose to eat. 🤔

My Both in One bread is back in Aldi...however I noticed today that the EE fruit and nut mix packaging has changed colour, also the mix of nuts has changed % wise, price still 55p though.

    Less nuts (68% v 64% - added the % of each nut.)

So Aldi has cheapened the mix. Nuts more expensive than dried fruit

Wrong way round. The total nut % has increased, what has changed is the red v pale skinned %s and the introduction of some "blanched" nuts. But as you say almost certainly a cheaper mix.

My local store is Lidl. I don't drive, so rarely get to Aldi but I like Aldi because they have more choice. However, I went to Aldi on Monday. Among other things, I bought a net of easy peelers, didn't occur to me to look for a date on them as Lidl has a code instead of date. When I got home, I noticed they had best before 22Mar, which was the day I bought them. Peeled one yesterday (23rd), peel looked okay but the fruit inside was very wrinkled. Now I know they have a date unlike Lidl, I will be looking in future.

Does anyone buy the little jars of oregeno from Lidl?  They are always half empty, i'm not sure whether they are supposed to be like this or that they always seem to have a dodgy batch.

I buy my most of my herbs and spices from an Asian or West Indian shop, but I buy large bags.
Oregano usually comes from Greece when we go on holiday.
I've just about finished my last lot.

I'm looking at buying bigger bags, but just concerned that, as I live alone, that they will go off if I don't use them too often.

Definitely not settling, just empty!!  If you do buy them, it could be worth weighing them to see what you are actually getting.  I have actually seen some jars that are literally empty.
