It would have been better if you had said that in your post.charlies_mum said:
Yes, I tried click and collect from Aldi. This is the third order from there and the third time there has been a problem.Farway said:
This thread is about Lidl & Aldicharlies_mum said:Spent all morning trying to place a click and collect order. The website wouldn’t accept my debit card then wouldn’t cancel the order. Fifteen minutes on hold to customer services to hopefully get it cancelled. My last week’s order had a £2.69 bottle of conditioner missing so had to go into store to collect which defeats the whole objective.
I’ve given up and ordered from Iceland again

I appreciate that some people are vulnerable and/or frightened but I think my trips to Aldi are essential travel. If I didn't do that I'd go stir crazy. 😉2

I have previously posted that I have had problems with Aldi’s click and collect service. One order had 8 items missing, one of which was milk. The second had a bottle of conditioner missing and I had to go into store to collect. Today their website wouldn’t accept my card which is the same one I have used before.duncanthedog said:

I like the idea of click and collect but until they get it right I know I can order elsewhere and get a problem free delivery.I am not vulnerable or frightened but don’t see the point of going to supermarkets if you don’t have to when that’s where most infections are picked up.You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Agree with the point in italics - and got flamed for it on DT - but I don't think that's where most infections are picked up. Its usually an external transgression in the workplace / school, and the best place of passing it on is within the home.charlies_mum said:

So much to read, so little time.0 -
I suppose it depends on your circumstances, but we have no workers or children in the house so for us the supermarket is definitely the most at risk point for us. I miss having a mooch around the shops, but we’ve managed to not catch it this far so I’m prepared to wait a bit longerYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Why? It was a post about Aldi in an Aldi/Lidl thread, and that was perfectly obvious.duncanthedog said:

Not obvious at all, Aldi was not mentioned in the post anywhere and not everyone reads every post and remembers who posted what and whenDoc_N said:

I could argue my point further but I will just go to the shop instead as it is safer than staying here to catch something.2 -
I find it incredible that one or two people have chosen to round on a poster who posted about an Aldi experience in this thread. Why on earth would anyone think the post wasn’t about Aldi, even without referring to previous posts?duncanthedog said:

Of course you rounding on those people is perfectly acceptable!Doc_N said:

FWIW, i think your both correct, and IMHO any place where people gather in numbers is liable to be a source of spreading the virus!Rosa_Damascena said:
