Anybody got any good or bad buys from Aldi or Lidl to report?
I'm off for my weekly shop at Aldi tomorrow and am writing my shopping list.

Hoping the mangoes are still on offer.
Just to say that the honeydew melons have gone up form 79p to £1.29. I don't expect to pay totally-tropical prices year round but 50p in a week?!

Eta: I refer to Lidl but Aldi the prices usually align.

Were they pick of the week?

I have had no issues with click and collect. I have had 5 orders so far and starting to work on my 6th as try for a order every 2 weeks. And yes a few things out of stock or subbed but that's life. Still waiting to be able order joints of meat as its not option yet due to the varying weights. I have been told each time to to do the survey on the email you get so any issues can get fed back.  If people don't actually let Aldi know there is an issue they can't correct it. So I am guessing its an issue with the poster's store and not all stores.
I found coffee whitener in Aldi but only as a special buy.  Which is a shame. I did buy 3 of them.

I expect that many of the problems might be to do with supply issues. These are affecting in store shopping too. 🤔

Are you referring to the poster Charlies_mum.  I am not fussed if I can't get it then I can't get it and it waits until I make my next top up shop for fresh foods.  If she is not letting Aldi know there is problem with the services, then nothing will change.  Seems strange to moan about it on here rather than talking directly to Aldi.  I am on a Aldi FB page I guess you would call it fan page and the amount of people who think its Aldi when they are posting is amazing.  Its not like they use the aldi logo or anything. And the amount of moans about things being new and being awful and the posters being told to tell Aldi as nothing we can do.

No, the price had been low since Christmas.

And the price has further inflated btw: this evening it was £1.49. I bought a pineapple instead, 75p down from 95p.

So much to read, so little time.

25 new posts in this thread, wow must be lots of good chat since I last looked.....
    Oh.
Hope everyone wakes up feeling a bit brighter tomorrow!

Back on topic, I picked up porridge from Aldi on Sunday, plenty of bags in stock in my local store. Have noticed they've went back to the old style packaging on cheese, I presume this is a money saving change to do away with the resealable packs?

Recently the resealable packs of cheese from Lidl (Scotland) have been anything but resealable.
If you cut along the dotted line, most of the time you cut right through the bit that seals, if you cut above the line the plastic is stil heat-sealed and you cant get it to open as far down as the resealable seal.
I have taken to just getting rid of the bag and putting the cheese in another container, the cheese is too good to stop buying for the want of the seal on the bag.

If you have Lidl Plus and app was updated, please delete app and resign in before you go to the tills. As a customer in front of me had to do this.

I checked for the L+ coupons before leaving and had to delete app and resign in as app kept on closing
