Tissues seems to be in short supply in Lidl and Newgate baked beans have been missing for a few months now.

Lidl - Loads of reductions on normal food. The reduction areas for both meat/fish and fresh with things with today's date were swamped! You are lucky to see 3 items in both. Also loads of orange labels with tomorrow or NYE dates.

Manged to get a Deluxe sourdough pizza, Deluxe fishcakes, a couple of ready meals and a quiche for 70p each. All in the freezer, bar the pizza which I'm having tonight
  • Bought two hunters chicken that were orange snickered.    Both had gone off and ended up in the bin.
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • Noted in Lidl today: 12-packs of mince pies reduced to 77p, stollen mini-bites 99p from £1.99 and 750g stollens for £1.24. I bought precisely none.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

Good value for the Christmas goodies and ideal if you want to buy in sweet stuff for a family. For us, that sort of thing is an annual treat so won't be buying any more. whatever the price. 🤔😊

I saw them as well yesterday and managed to resist, not so much because I did not want them or would not like to stuff my face with them but I resisted because I simply have no money left to buy them :(

Can I ask if the present Aldi super six goes on to 31 December as I thought they change on a Thursday?

Mountains (well, pallets) of 6-pack-Deep Fill Mince Pies at my local ALDI, down to 39p from the pre-Xmas 79p. Time to fill the freezer ;)
I did a brief visit to Aldi on 22nd December and was very pleasantly surprised by how well stocked it was. Still using up the turkey crown & smoked salmon.

Spotted some Gluten Free mince pies, full price, but what the heck, so treated myself. Got home to see Best Before date was 16th December! Obviously I've eaten them - but doesn't say much for their stock control.

Tinned peas have become a rare commodity in my local Lidl just to add to the list of empty shelves. :(

  • Couple of success stories from Aldi over the festive period- apologies if they’ve been mentioned already.

tuxford and Tebbutt a English blue Stilton. In a ceramic pot so certainly a special for Christmas however hoping they have the “normal” version too.

chocolate ganache snowflake bites. Even as someone who is not a great fan of chocolate I thought they were delicious- had a caramel filling and good solid chocolate which held its shape - very pretty too.

Oh and the Eden Mill gin cocktail cans- lemon and blueberry gin mixed with American Cream soda. Nice change.

    impressed with them all.
