I was with you Round.
In the last couple of hours, I have got washed and dressed, done all the dailies, walked dogs, S&S'd the bathroom, hoovered/swept/mopped all floors in the house and now I'm eating lunch.
Next job will be WI paperwork which is due this week. A bit of a frog.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Still clearing the decks here. Managed to get one outstanding job done yesterday which only took a couple of hours once I'd got started. Tick.
OH bought me a subscription to a weekly newspaper I love for Christmas and I simply haven't had time to read them since they started arriving in early December. I now have 10 back copies and one new one, which I am going to work through today. Sounds like madness, but it makes sense to me. And I'll feel much, much better after doing this.
Big cheers for all Flyladies, which clearing something off their Toots List, catching up or just having a day off.Better is good enough.0 -
Got annoyed with Himself mithering around in his PJs yesterday - got him up at 11am and by midday, he was asleep on the settee until 3pm, when he decided to go and faff about with music upstairs. So I stomped off to to shop and came back with a bunch of cleaning things that were on special offer.
I went up and cleaned the bathroom, as I'd realised how manky it looked - took about half an hour, but everything sparkled afterwards.
Think I'll do the same to the shower room now and then see how I feel about the bedroom after a coffee.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

There are 1001 things I should do. But I'm physically and mentally exhausted so I'm having a cuppa then a long hot shower.
Dog and kids had a two hour muddy walk so dog has been showered xMFW

Toilet scrubbed and doused with descaler, to be scrubbed again after that's done its job.
Shelves and rails wiped over.
Went on tiptoe with a thingonnastick to try and get the arachnid candyfloss down.
Tiles - ugh. They are evil. Floor to ceiling, so out of reach, presumably covered in drift from the kitchen cooking, as it's hardly ever used, but with the last of the bathroom foam, I realised they need a proper scrub. And more cleaning chemicals. Because I don't want to use a cleaner containing bleach (stuff for the kitchen) in there - I suspect they wouldn't mix well, even though I've rinsed them off in between - I'm waiting for his royal carcass to get get dressed to get some more things;
Bin Bags. The things he said we didn't need yesterday.
More bathroom cleaner.
Annoyed that his upcoming gig only takes him out of the house for two days this coming week and next Saturday. I'm at work - had it been the following week, I'd have had two full days to get things sorted without him mithering round. And at least two more for peace and quiet where he'd either be at the gig/travelling or languishing about in bed because he's so tired/it's such hard work [strike]to actually do something for one day[/strike]. Mind you, he seems to have been doing the latter all this past week as it is.
Right. I can hear he's decided to start watching videos on his laptop instead of getting dressed. Time to go and shove a rocket somewhere...I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

ATB, enjoy your shower.
I've done the frog paperwork, then realised we don't have a working printer at the moment so DH is going to print off for me tomorrow. So glad I only left this to the last hour and not the very last minute, IYKWIM.
Anyway, 3rd of four washloads is in the machine, I've also mended my gloves and sorted out the cleaning cupboard under the sink, which means all the kitchen cupboards have now been sorted this week. And I didn't think I'd done much.
Having a cuppa now. DH is making dinner for later. I'm going to phone my aunty.
See you all on the new thread.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
