As the washing was drying so well (sorry for those who did get a shower) I have ended up running a total of 6 loads through and all line dried! Lots of bedding...always better after a blow (oo err missus) AND IT'S ALMOST ALL IRONED...stopped after filling two maidens!
Have hemmed 2 pairs of trousers. One mine (which I was planning to do) and a pair of DD's work trousers which had a half-fallen hem which I noticed when ironing.
DS is cooking (and buying ingredients for Paella) so he took me to Morries where I bought some bits and got two packs of Sevilles as they are reduced. One lot simmering away now, will make marmalade tomorrow.

Morning all. I've got the washing on but showers are forecast this morning so it will be hung up indoors. Again. DGD2 is 5 today so we're over there for lunch. I've got a cold but she has too so I won't be passing it on! Very dark this morning but there's still a robin singing out there.

    Morning

I loaded the WM and set it swishing while the kettle was boiling for my morning brew :D

Before I do anything else I am going to do an online grocery shop for delivery this week - or I'll have to change my name to Mother Hubbard!

    I'll be back

Ahhh Mr T is delivering supplies on Tuesday evening - that's a job well done :D

I'll do a laundry shuffle so I can unload WM - then get dressed and have another brew with some breakfast.

  • Morning all,

Much more full of beans this morning although can feel my anxiety on the edges. So far I have:
    - unloaded DW
    - 1xWM
    - dog walked
    - rubbish and recycling out
    - nipped to small Mr T for milk and to buy a gift voucher (birthday present)
    - gammon in SC for dinner

I am going to do another 15 minutes then settle down for a cuppa x
    MFW :)

Just having a cuppa but have been very busy since my last post. I have WUDUPA and scrubbed the kitchen sink, cleaned the downstairs toilet and sink, and dusted the dusty bits in the LR. Trying to get a bit ahead on jobs I'd normally do on a Monday as I've 3 appointments tomorrow.

Next, I'm going to clean the hard floors downstairs and then actually get dressed.

  • Oh Lord, just dragged myself out of bed. Out last night (drinking water mostly) and feel hungover. How is that possible?

I have also discovered the true definition of feeling old - when both of your kids are out at night clubs in the big city and you are at a concert in a local village hall sipping mineral water (I did have to drive home). And how does DS2 get in at 5.30am and look reasonably fresh at 10.30am?

So five of us here (including one GF) feeling a bit bleary eyed. A big cooked breakfast might be in order.

Edit - had to break off because I have just had a nearly 6ft tall 18 year old sat on my knee needing a hug.

Need to empty DW, really should put some washing in. Cant think what else.

    In my HHC I:

    set the timer
put a bowl of pots to soak
emptied 2nd load from WM and hung on airer
    WUDUPA bowl of pots
put baking trays to soak while DUPA pots
scrubbed baking trays with scrubber and toothbrush
    binned scrubber and toothbrush
    unblocked kitchen sink :o
    DUPA baking trays
    beep
    wiped down cooker top
    wiped down draining board

:j:j:j I am on top of the pots - all done :j:j:j

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you
