I haven't even heard of this book before. Great to know that Twink has a recipe in it - which one? Is it under the name Twink?0

is it under all in one fruitcake and no its not under twink, be great if it was though:D

Wonder if the possible reason for a cake to sink is due to the kitcken - or where the cake's been put to cool, - is due to the ambient temperature of the room being too cool?????0

I think it should be re-christened
Twink's Titanic Fruitcake.

We LOVE this book. all in one fruit cake - made it to the recipe (rose beautifully then sank to 1 inch when it cooled. tasted lovely though)
I am mortified!
I did not want to raise a debate about Twinks cake - I am a huge fan of hers. Twinks hobnobs were the first baking success I ever had.....
It was the very first fruit cake I ever made - and as I said - it was lovely. I have two orders to make it this weekend (one for DH work as he doled out a few crumbs to his colleagues who loved it too!).
To get back to the OP we love this book and would truthfully not be without it now.LBM 10 JUNE 07June 07 - £68K May 08 apx £57K MORTGAGE £212KJune Grocery Challenge - Budget £445 Actual £17.40PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS0 -
