Hello Umkomaas... absolutely 100pc correct, the quote in their email is:
"you will shortly receive directly from Northampton County Court (County Court Bulk Centre) as you have failed to make repayments on your above account"
Good news it will be my local County Court, thank you for pointing that out...

I know (he said modestly), I do this stuff every day!Hello Umkomaas... absolutely 100pc correct
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

So the keeper is being taken to County Court for not printing a parking ticket, unbelievable.
I can well believe it. You clearly breached a contract. By so doing they think that you so damaged them that they are entitled to £100 in compensation. Hopefully, a judge will think otherwise.

I am glad that your MP was supportive, the whole industry is one big a scam, relying on threats of court, and the public's ignorance of the Law, A bill is currently before parliament which will regulate the scammers, many of whom are ex-clampers.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Thanks The Deep..... it's good to have an understanding of my position from a legal perspective....
My MP was really good about it, considering all the hoo ha going on in parliament at the moment...
At the moment they'd like £250 quid off me, I noticed I'm being charged interest, court fees, solicitors fees, I guess the latter will go up if I end up in court.
I'm assuming they have to have all their paperwork 100pc, say for example they present the wrong paperwork in court has anyone asked for compensation. The statement is "not being respectful to the courts" I'm not certain if they use that term in English courts, in Scotland they do....0 -
You haven't actually received real court papers then? when you do, post #2 of the NEWBIE sticky is your bible.bartlebobton wrote: »"you will shortly receive directly from Northampton County Court (County Court Bulk Centre) as you have failed to make repayments on your above account"
Good luck to them for that then. They cannot actually do that, only the court can, specifically the judge.bartlebobton wrote: »"If you do not contact us or reply to the County Court Claim before 19 February 2019 , we may enter a County Court Judgment ("CCJ") against you"
I wouldn't give my phone number to them, they will set the debt collectors on you and you will get calls day and night!bartlebobton wrote: »Do you know what the minimum amount of information I need to give them, for example my phone number.0 -
You don't have to give them anything at this time.bartlebobton wrote: »Do you know what the minimum amount of information I need to give them, for example my phone number.
File that letter and wait patiently for the Claim Form to drop through your letter-box later this week - maybe even tomorrow.
When you have the Claim Form, please post the Issue Date here.0 -
Hello Keith...
Thank you for your reply.
For clarification, the issue date of the Claim Form from the Court, nothing else, or should I also scan the form and post that too ?
What significance does the Issue Date have...
Thanks... BB0 -
It will help you to avoid missing targets.
But don't worry about that until you have the Claim Form.0 -
Thanks Keith....0

Nope, unless you're horrendously unreasonable, they are capped at £50. They will try to sneak them in under other headings, which you would need to object to them through the Judge.bartlebobton wrote: »At the moment they'd like £250 quid off me, I noticed I'm being charged interest, court fees, solicitors fees, I guess the latter will go up if I end up in court.
Standard cost of a lost court case for a single ticket ~£175-£200 (includes the original £100 PCN). They're already trying to fleece you! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
