Welcome Bonsibabe
I haven't have preemies but did have my 2 DD's 20 months apart so housework has been a last thing on the list in our house for a while. I started doing the flylady lists about 3 weeks ago and it has made a real difference for me. I don't alway get everything done and struggle on the days I work, but I just catch up as much as I can at the weekend or as Pigpen said leave it cos it comes around again next week!;)DFW no.630!

Afternoon all - back from football and my fingers are still freezing - I can not describe how cold I am.
Finished the ironing before I went out which means I can sit and do all the mending this evening rather than Sunday ironing for a change.
Going to sort and clear family room this afternoon with DS3 who is not great - he has a cough.
Ebay playmobil how big its it? what is it? would a shoe box do - most shoe shops have spares I think from people who don't want the box.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Bonsibabe.. I have one child on growth hormone replacement (they predicted his adult height to be 4ft10-5 ft 2) and another (the one who was 5 yesterday, 6 weeks early and wearing age 2-3 clothes) who is being assessed regularly as she is just now growing.. she is currently the same size as my 3 year old!! Everyone thinks they are twins!!! So I can relate to that one as well!!!
My son who is on the GHR is 12 in January and is actually the same size as his peers now thankfully!! he was 2 months early has learning difficulties as well and has an undersized pituitary gland.. hence the growth problems! He had a heart murmur until he was 4 and had glue ear which he appears to have outgrown eventually! .. They just do these things to make sure we care!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Wow pigpen - my oldest was 2 months early and my youngest 6 weeks as well! Thankfully neither seems to have any learning problems - although they are both stubborn as mules!!
We do want another one but just waiting for a few more months - hopefully by the time DD2 starts FS2 we will be trying for another. But that will be my limit!!!
Have started rearranging my kitchen cupboards for the big shop next week when OH is on his days off - is he in for a shock! We have a big people carrier and I intend to fill the back of it when the kids are at school! He will be the one carrying it all cos I have a bad back and am not allowed to carry much (not even allowed to lift the little one but I still do sometimes :rotfl: )
Determined that by the end of today - my kitchen will gleam like never before - well am gonna give it my best shot!
Thanks for the encouragement Daisydoll - it's really good to know that there is support out there for us harrassed mums lol :beer:LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

We've had snow! Didn't last long but it was definitely snow nevertheless.
Done quite a bit of wrapping this morning while DH went to Asda with DD. DS is still not well - asleep at the moment - I'm hoping he's going to be alright tomorrow - I don't really want to have to have the day off work when I've only been there a week!
Got to do some ironing now as DH wants his work clothes - he's out from tomorrow morning until Wednesday night so he needs clothes to take with him as well as food. Can't really say anything as he's currently putting a new bumper and headlight on my car with my Dad.
Uniforms also need doing so plenty to keep me going. House is still a mess - I think tomorrow I'll try and get the kids in bed a bit earlier and try to blitz the downstairs while I've got some peace!
Anyway I'll go and do some ironing - unless anyone's offering to do it for me??

Well I've just got back from DS football, we got to the rugby club at 1.10pm as we meet there but there was noone to be seen, so I rung the manager to find out where they are and he said they left 10 mins ago, we shud've been there for 12.50pm  (so DS was in trouble for telling me the wrong time). So he gives me vague directions on where we should be going (I hadn't got the foggiest idea)and we are making our way they in the sleet, I can't see a thing cause the car windows has misted up, when the manager calls back to say turn round its been cancelled  I was rather pleased as I didn't want to stand on a wet, cold, muddy field for an hour :j
I've had a piece of choccy cake and a drink so I'm a little calmer now!! Anyway nearly done my list for today - Yay!!.
My list for today:-

Hello everyone!
Hugs from a distance for Pigpen. Hope you feel better soon! My sore throat seems to have disappeared, but keep on getting stomach ache, and my tongue is all puffy and swollen like on diet doctors - think this is something to do with the liver, but I don't drink alcohol, so don't know what could have caused this? Can anyone remember what foods they recommended on diet doctors if your tongue was swollen?
OH and I braved the wind and rain today and went into town cos Stead & Simpson had buy one get one half price on everything in the shop, and OH desperately needed new shoes. I also needed some to go with a pair of light coloured trousers I bought at Mr T for £7 in the sale. Managed to find OH a pair of Hobos leather shoes (originally £40) on offer for £29.99 and myself a nice pair of leather pumps for £20, and I only paid £39.99 in total! :T OH is getting the shoes for his Christmas present and I'm wearing mine tomorrow.
We also went into Lidl and bought an advent calendar on Dusty's recommendation, as I was worried that they may sell out by the time I go next week, and we got a stollen cake too which we had with a cuppa after lunch.
We've vegged in front of the tv watching average joes this avo, and now I'm catching up on the thread.
Thanks for the tip on the shower curtain lil_me. I tried putting ours in the washing machine, but it didn't seem to clear the mould. Don't know what it is, but something in our water leaves things with a peachy orange coating, that isn't black like mildew, which we also get.

SM i put my curtain in the WM with some bleach - that gets rid of the orangy stuff and gives the WM a clean too!!
At home with my parents for the weekend. Enjoying a bit of a relax, just not looking forward to driving the 90miles home,
See you all for a new week on the new thread.
