Worked yesterday so I didn't spend but DH did so that means we didn't have a NSD. Really wet and windy here, DH is going to the gym and I will catch up on a few household jobs then may run later if the wind dies down a bit. Payday yesterday so that has been transferred to our house renovation fund.
I bought an item on ebay that was collection only but the seller very kindly dropped it off for me first thing this morning, it is a large blanket box which will be painted up today and then put in our bedroom for storage. DH is going to be building a built in wardrobe at one side of our chimney breast soon so I am hoping our room will look much tidier when all that is done.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hi guys, it’s my day off so I’ve a few jobs to do, then we are going out to eat later. It’s a no spend meal though cos we got vouchers for Xmas.
R Reduce your planned food expenditure - I am nicely stocked up so will only need fruit, veg, milk etc for a couple of weeks. The money I save is going towards the summer hol fund.
U Useful leftovers. We don’t tend to have leftovers but my menu plan changes if there are any.
A Aim to take your lunch to work every day. I eat before I go.
R Remind yourself of what you have and be grateful. Today I’m grateful for my youngest coming to visit today, for vouchers we got for Xmas giving us a lovely meal out this evening, for the fabulous waves with the high winds ( I do love living at the seaside) and for a little bit of time to myself with OH out and youngest not arriving until later.
Y You should pay to your debt or savings first. Will report again on payday.
S Spend Free Days (SFDs). 4/18 so far.
U Use it up. Rather than using up I’m trying to make things last as long as possible.
R Regular check ins are recommended, daily if possible.
V Valentine Day isn’t happening in the Cuddly house.
I Indoors/outdoors. Having a lazyish day today cos lots of overtime next week.
A Advance planning. Need to add a few more days to meal plan and do a bit of decluttering ready to take to the CS. But it does swap around if something needs eating up.
Anyway better get on
Have a good weekend guys

DH has painted the box we had delivered this morning and will wax it tomorrow, it is a very large blanket box and we will be using it to store knitwear and boots (mine mainly), it was £30 and the paint used was from a previous project.
Made curry for tea tomorrow, quesadias (sp) for tea today, went for a run - super windy but not raining at least. Nipped into town and ended up spending, I didn't want to go in my defence as I knew I would end up buying something. I spent £3.99 on an Asics running jacket, £3.99 on a gorgeous floaty dress, £2.49 on some (more) BNWT knitted slipper socks with a fluffy fleece lining and 99p on a very lovely grey jumper. All from charity shops as most of you know I don't buy much new stuff.
The stove is lit and I am very cosy but need to get up and clean the kitchen then have a shower, the rest of the evening will be spent watching Netflix with DH and the kids and having a glass of wine.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Was a spend day. The hairdresser came round to the flat to do my hair.
Walked the park run. Was windy but had some layers on so it was ok. Did manage a better time, but it always depend on how I am. As long as I pass the finishing line.
Did stay in for the rest of the day and did self care.
Been using what I already had in.

Plans for the weekend were to get at the wardrobe (it's through a door, a tiny corner of their room on what was originally the landing but has been pert of the large room for many years now) and to attempt to start on the understairs.
I reached the wardrobe yesterday evening - 7 items for the charity bin (the only things in the wardrobe were the things I don't wear or can't get in). They have been taken to the library this afternoon and that is the only time I left the house.
I've reached my target on the cube shelves - one eight cube unit ready to go downstairs. I risked life and limb by venturing round to DS3's side of the couch and filled a bag with mostly takeaway rubbish and sweet wrappers from Christmas (try to do it once a week but wasn't prepared to go in until I felt steady on my feet).
Pizza box mountain and other items into various bins. Wiped over the bathroom sink and toilet (sprayed the bath already). My room is looking a lot better but still have some items to sort into their proper places. A few bits done in the kitchen but not as far as under the stairs yet.
Today I am grateful for the library's extra facilities, them having a poster up for the charity do mum has bought tickets for so I now know it's next Friday and for the shower I'm going to take.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Hello :hello:
I have reared my head from exam marking to come on here and confess that I'm struggling a bit at the moment and I needed some of mothernerd's inspirational quotes and support from you lovely lot.
This is a small exam marking window which has been very busy, so my life has been work, mark, sleep, repeat since mid January and I need to be finished by Friday. I'm almost there but procrastination has set in and I'm feeling more than a bit miserable and sorry for myself. I was ill for the first two and a bit weeks of the marking then once I got better, life decided to throw another curve ball my way in the form of my boiler packing up beyond repair. I was only without heating and hot water for 2 days but it was enough to almost finish me off mentally, and I have had to borrow money from my mam to pay for the replacement. I have heating and hot water and couldn't be more grateful, but I also have more debt and no end in sight for the legal stuff. My solicitor told me during the week that it could be a couple of years yet before the financial things are legally severed between me and the ex. On top of that, the ex hasn't paid his child maintenance and now I'm having to chase that as well.
I don't intend to let it get the better of me - I just feel a bit down at the moment and am finding it hard to motivate myself. Still, one more week till the hols. At least I have that to focus on...Not giving up

Hellooo Toni'sfriend! Nice to have you with us again. Hope the trip away was good.
Ccl - have lots of hugs. Only 5 more get-ups and then you go away. Hope you get to see your mam tomorrow.
Today I am grateful for going for a slightly further waddle than last time, for dry weather, for a chilled out day, for dd doing her dance exams happily, for seeing Hairspray yesterday, for dh taking us and picking us up from the performance, for getting some wool I wanted today, for hot water and a warm house, for the rugby, for my knitting, for hearing a woodpecker several times as I waddled through the woods (was rather surprised to hear anything above the puffing steam train impression I was doing!).NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
