Hi all :j
Very tired tonight as poor sleep last night, firstly due to the weather - then realised DD was not home (she should have been back for 2.30am). She was 2 hours late, always slightly concerned..even though she is a grown up..
Sorry to hear you are struggling CCL, I just hope you can take a deep breath & struggle through until half term when you have a chance to relax a bit.
F Food Expenditure Aiming for £225 for the month, down from about £275.. already done a bit of spending so no NSDs as yet. Shopping already spent £139.56/225 . No spends today.
E Excursions and entertainment should be planned. ...No excursions but planning a trip to Ireland before B-day but looks like they have changed the ferry crossings to make it vastly more inconvenient for us. However, DH is on the case & looking at alternative routes. Will be in March. No progress yet on visit. Won't be going to look at car as it has already sold, none similar available as yet, but no rush.
B Budgets None set as yet - other than food - & all DDs already out.
U Useful leftovers Will also carry on with frogs. Need to make a list for DH also, there are plenty of things he can be doing. Massive frog today - inventoried one of the fridges -yaay! OK as we didn't go out I finally inventoried the other fridge, tons of stuff in there, quite amazing really..should mean hardly any more shopping although I've said that before. More Frogs looming as DH showed me a little video he made when we moved into this house...20 years ago. After we stopped laughing at the d!cor (ye gods, the bathroom tiles!) he said wistfully, oh it does show you though what big rooms we have when they are clear....yess...
A Aim to take your lunch
Don't work outside the home other than volunteer at a CS but will aim to take snacks/lunch/etc when we go out.
R Remind yourself More of my fairisle knitting, sort of tasty supper, the cat being OK after I stood on him
Y You should pay your debt or savings first Have no debt other than a cc paid off in full each month. However, savings needed for dental work & also for house renovations, so will take care of that. Paid back joint account for dental work again. No payment today yet.
S Spend Free Days (SFDs) Now 4/18
U Use it up Keep using up what we have, have done some shopping already but should only need fresh F&V & bread, plus animals food/litter. Used up some things from fridge as I now know what is in there & what needs to be used up first. Used up bits & bobs & made Singapore noodles to go with Chinese meal (from stores). DD bought a YS chicken which was also pressed into service.
R Regular check ins Here
V Cards only .. in the nut household
I Indoors/outdoors My only regular exercise is gardening, which I try to do most days. Walked a lot when away need to have slightly better weather to do much around here. Out this afternoon in the garden although very windy it was dry & I did another bit of the border, 3 barrows of compost on it & pruned some branches that were overhanging the rockery. Not outside for long as lots of housework/cooking etc. Did one more barrow load.
Indoors - being a hermit. Late lunch, reading papers, then rugby, then tv & fairisle.
V Vending machines etc Rarely use but do have the occasional takeaway as part of family meal. Maybe once a month, but no plans so far.
A Advance planning This is a problem for me, I don't plan in advance but decide what to have on an almost daily basis. I know I have to get more organised, so will inventory both fridges...as a starting point. Have not inventoried yet , will do tomorrow. Done Fridge one. Fridge 2 to go. Done fridge 2.....have a loongg list on my phone. Need to see if I can meal plan for this week now I have an idea of what we have.
Garden prep - up to today - has been going on apace, not with planting as the ground has been frozen but with pruning & some greenhouse stuff. No veg as yet but it's a bit early for here. Will go through seeds - I have loads - and see what I need if anything. Also have lots of pots of paint for projects inside & outside the house - once decluttered enough to decorate.. Mulching borders is in hand although it will take me forever. One more load done.
Go Turtles!!!New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear0 -
:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: dodgy hugs CCL. Boilers are a pain at the moment aren't they? When you are lying in the sun next week (yay! next week!!), you will have a bit of distance to relax and reassess. You can only control what you can control, other things you have to just go with. Hope child support gets sorted soon..
Countdown to half term begins tomorrow. :T
Have a great Sunday, it is wild, wet, and windy here.
All food from stores. Not going out.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

ccl - oh dear, I hope you can keep your head above water just a bit longer.
I am going cycling in a mo, it's dull here but dry and the wind has gone, rest of the day will involve waxing or new box, sorting things to go in it, walking the dog and getting ready for a new week.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hugs. CCL. Hope you get everything sorted out.
Walked to Aldi yesterday and stocked up on fruit. veg, etc and a chicken for today's dinner. Did have lunch and dinner from what was in the freezer though so that's something.
I have made a list of things to do in the house (short term and long term). Same for me personally and another for miscellaneous things that don't fit in to the other two. They are very long and will, I suspect, get even longer over time. For the next few days I'm concentrating on washing, ironing, cooking and general cleaning. On a more positive note the Boy has been clearing out his "stuff". Multiple trips to the council tip have taken place, I understand, with many more to go. Quite an achievement, though, considering how much he has accumulated and how long it.s been there.
So things to do. Must get on. Have a nice Sunday.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Double inspiration tomorrow.
I am having internet problems ( not just me as I notice Beloved has the cable between her and the box plugged in again). Would not accept the password I had and DS3 was asleep in the front room so could not write down the stuff on the box.
I have slept again (slept well during the night) and it has now righted itself. Just been looking for the inspiration I had written down. Pinterest saved them to the wrong category and I was too tired to correct it. Meant to delete lots of stuff and have added to it.
Mum's bug has now got a grip of me so going to do the basics for a while - need to sort some salads/ dips and sticks if I am going to eat healthily this week and want to nail down a few things in here so leaving you with hugs and good wishes until later. Kitchen/ under stairs will have to be put on hold but washing/ washing up/ kitchen table all improving.

NSD today - 7/20. Did go to my favourite shop and did buy a few things, but spent money I was given at Christmas. Had to get new slippers, also got daffodils and a few treats in the food hall. Hopefully the daffodils will be open for Valentines day.
