  • Many thanks for the reaction to my post, However I am sticking to my guns on this one, as I stated County Courts do not send old issue documents, this is not a mistake by the courts, It is a mistake for BW Legal to think they would get away with it. I will get back to the forum with any updates but for now it's up to BW Legal.

So the claim number is invalid and not showing up on the MCOL portal?

    Just so you know...

I predict the next 'fake' County Court form you receive will look like this:

We've had several posters recently saying that they have received "fake" real court papers because they looked like photocopies, which of course they are because Northampton CCBC photocopy blank real ones!
  • My understanding is that under the FCA if a claim is in dispute then it should not be chased by debt collectors but referred back to the PPC.

But BW Legal are acting for the PPC as their solicitors pursuing a debt not as debt collectors so I don't quite get your point.

The MCOL claim forms do look fake. They are different to the normal ones issued manually at other county courts. However, they are real. Why on earth wouldn't you just look it up online, to make doubly sure it's fake? Even if only to prove us lot wrong?

I bet they are real. You will be stuck with a ccj if you insist on this approach.
