Hi, would appreciate any help you can give please.
Wish to appeal a PCN at university. This is the first ticket I received this morning. My questions are as follows:-

Do I go on the 1st parking website and give my reasons for appealing or do I write to First parking LLP? I understand if unsuccessful then I appeal to POPLA.

The PCN states time in car park 24 hours and 0 minutes, arrived 17th and departed 18th  . The driver did not stay there! Shift worker and was working the following morning. parked for 5 to 10 minutes.

Also whilst appealing my fine will not go to the full £60?

Any templates will be appreciated, and a quick response thank you :A

see the NEWBIES faq sticky thread near the top of this forum

if its a postal pcn (NTK) that arrived via the post, appeal as KEEPER using the blue text template , the NTK will tell you how to appeal and who to appeal to, please read it

do a search on "double dip" if you suspect that they didnt see the exit on the first day and the entrance on the second day, this is a common failure of ANPR

in which case add a note to state that their ANPR is incorrect as 2 short visits were made by the driver on consecutive days

Their picture may well show someone driving your car and you may be able to identify the person in that picture.

The parking company do not a have a picture of every individual in the UK with a name associated with each.

Thus the PPC has no idea who is/was driving. Keep it that way.
You [STRIKE]might like to[/STRIKE] really must edit your opening post to reflect that.

you should not be admitting anything about who was driving, do not help them, you are appealing as KEEPER, so assume I was driving when you write your additional paragraph

just state that the DRIVER did blah blah and this is a clear case of a "double dip" and their ANPR systems are flawed and they must check them again as the driver made 2 very short visits on consecutive days

read this about how anpr works (or fails) and about double visits

    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.com/2014/02/how-parking-operators-use-anpr.html

the important thing at the moment is not to reveal who was driving, but to point out their anpr errors, by adding a suitable paragraph into the blue text template, putting them on notice about it without revealing how you know

Thank you for your promt reply. I will do the online appeal and hope that is the end of it! If not I will do a POPLA.
    Thanks once again :)

Rose, you really need to go back and edit your posts to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper who are two different people. The Keeper has protections in law that The Driver does not so it is vitally important the scammers never find out who it is.

Edit your posts NOW before you do anything else!

It doesn't matter if the scammers have a picture of random person driving a random vehicle. They do not have anything to compare it with so forget all about it.

The Keeper, who was "an occupant" of the car should complain to the university pointing out the failure of the scammers ANPR scamera system. It is know to be flawed which is why the UK Government has banned its use in council car parks.

The Keeper should also complain to their MP about this unregulated scam.

Post 4 needs editing. Check everything you have typed so far. Parking scammers read these fora and have been known to use posts from here during the appeal stage and in court.

Post #4 above still needs editing.

Perhaps it should look something like:
Hi Redx thanks for your reply. It is a first parking in blue, and you can see the driver. The driver has done this for two years. There has never been a problem. I just wanted to know if it would be fine to say who was driving and do the pick ups on a regular basis. No way did did the car stay over night. The driver was at work following morning at 6am. I googled "double dip" nothing came up apart from sweets, sorry to sound dumb.
Should I say it as it was quick ten min pick up on both days, they have got it wrong 24 hours.
Hopefully you can see the subtle differences.

It really is important not to give away the driver's identity.

The parking companies trawl this forum just waiting for people to trip themselves up and can try to use your posts against you.
