TalkTalk won't let me leave on the date my contract ends

As above, TalkTalk won't let me leave on the date my contract ends 9 February 19.

They are saying I have to give 30 days notice which means I will be be charged an extra month of broadband at the standard rate..

The reason for cancelling is bad customer service I have received before this year's contract renewal. Didn't receive a contract end notifications either by email or letter. I call to ask about this the advisor tells me contract ended in October 2018 then changes to February 2019.

When I ask to cancel I get transferred to the loyalty team who say we were told you want to renew. I ask to stop my broadband at the end of my contract and they said you have to give 30 days notice.

Any way I can just LEAVE without giving notice?

Obviously not, your contract hasn't 'ended', it's merely the discounts that have finished. Presuming you still need broadband you need to find another supplier and sign up and they'll manage the swap for you. You're still liable for charges to Talktalk until the swap.

If you're not happy find another provider and sign up with them. Suggest you wait until 14 days before Feb 9th before doing this if you want to avoid exit fees but you can do this earlier if you wish.

It's a 12m minimum term contract, not a 12m contract. Until you give notice, it continues. Otherwise your service would cease on 9/2/19.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Don't know if this helps but take a look at their terms and conditions,

If you want to end a service or your agreement with us outside the minimum
period you will have to contact us in writing or by phone to give 30 days’
notice; however, if you’re transferring to another telephone or broadband
provider, we’ll accept that you’ve given us sufficient notice when we receive notice
    from them.

Unless we tell you otherwise, we will give you 30 days’ written notice if we want to end
a service outside the minimum period.

Just sign up with someone else, they will notify TalkTalk, I think it takes a min 14days so your contract will have expired by the time the transfer happens

If your intention is to totally stop service ( so not migrate to someone else ) then you need to give 30 days notice, and if you want that to coincide with the end of the minimum term , and the minimum term was 12 months, then notice would be required as the 11th month started ( and that date has already passed )
If your intention is to move to another provider, it's around 10-14 days for the new provider to arrange and action the migration , this serves as the notice to TT , but if inside the minimum term, you would call the new provider around 2 weeks before the end of the minimum term, to arrange the change.
It seems to me that many people fixate on trying to get the migration on the exact date of the expiry of the minimum term, but personally I would err on the side caution and aim for a few days after, that way no possibility of early term charges, and if you pay for a full month , any days paid for after the migration date are refunded, so even if you pay a couple of days at a non discounted rate with the old provider it's unlikely to be more than a couple of ££.

I'm sorry to hear about the experience you've had with us. I'm afraid that we do require 30 days notice should you choose to leave TalkTalk.

    Hi Denise,

If you've moved your services to Plusnet you would need to contact them in relation to any problems you've been having following the move.

    Thanks
