Betterware or Kleeneze!!!

If you are reading this wondering whether to join, forget the hype & let the company figures do the talking.
Kleeneze has 3 main 'legs' whose combined bulk sales accounts for most of their business: Gavin Scott (GS), Chris Mason-Paull(CMP), Freda Fenn(FF).
November (P12 for those in the business) is the most successful - these are the ACTUAL turnover figures for the last 3 years:
2005:
GS: 4,584,278
CMP: 1,724,410
FF: 818,490
2006:
GS: 3,821,392
CMP: 1,351,094
FF: 769,247
2007:
GS: 3,309,174
CMP: 1,107,726
FF: 765,317
CAN ANYBODY SEE A PATTERN HERE ? OH YES DOWNHILL
Remember, these are the 3 most successful groups in Kleeneze - and if they can't retain their people with over 15 year experience ... what chance do you have?0 -
Well thankyou to everyone.
At the end of the day there cannot be a winner in this argument. I know that there are good earners in the Kleeneze business and also Betterware. You thing is like we have said before you will only really hear about the hype and the Potential money that can be earned.
Thats what the web is full of. People telling us that there are these big earner schemes and most people do give these a go. Don't get me wrong I would love to join Kleeneze and make a bit of money on the side but I simply can't allow myself to do that after everyone else saying what its really like.
I started this thread to find out about both these schemes and I think I have found out what I needed.
Thankyou to all for their great input.

I am also in Rob Forsters downline and his total team retail was £15.4 mil ;ast year. i have personlaly been to his farm seen the cars the horses the electric gates ect. He is a genuine hard working bloke from a coman backgrund (council house, low paid job ect). Kleeneze works for those who want it to work and put the time and effort in.
ISo if any of you Kleeneze guys on here want to get in touch my email is rowe95@hotmail.co.uk.
I think i made my point.
I was in Rob’s team and could not believe how people could not see through him!
Rob is the right name because he ROB’S his team every month, I have to book and organise business meetings as part of my job so I know the average cost of these venues.
He books a room at a hotel for say £1000- £1500 for an afternoon and then packs it to the doors with about 300 to 400 people paying up to £12 per head so up to £4800 in takings.
Take away the cost of the room and The Success Seminars are very Successful for Mr Forster as they pay him around £40-£45,000 per year, more than most people in the room ever have a chance of earning.
I went to 2 Seminars and one of them was in a flooded football ground, they probably gave him that room for free, its no wonder he insists that everybody comes to his seminar every month (or you are not serious about YOUR business he says) he is raking it in off his team! If asked he will probably say his gay partner gives it all to charity…yes of course he does, we believe you Rob…NOT !

It seems a familiar tale - Amway for instance, the big earners start earning even more by selling the motivation aids and trainings to the poor struggling distributors downline. Also most of the Companies that use brochures make money from the distributors from the sale of the brochures as well even though they would deny it.We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!0

Hi , just reading through as considering betterware at the minute whilststaying at home with children - i understad you get 20% of your takings but is there now guaranteed income ? x0
-
Unfortunately there are no guaranteed levels of income.
You would be self employed and get a set percentage of your total sales.
best of luck

Hi lizzie,
I did betterware for a while and found it ok.
The only problem I had was that the book changes every six weeks but I never had enough good customers to keep me rotating for the six week period.
Its worth a try as it costs you nothing at all so you cant miss out.
Hope you give it a go:oCurrent Debt £38,000:o

I am now in my 5th year with Kleeneze and still make a few quid a week off it, although sometimes I feel that I am doing it more as a public service and out of loyalty to my customers than anything else.
I have had over 600 customers at one point and 5 team members under me, though I have whittled out the customers who didn't buy anything in a whole year and now have around 300 left. All my team members lasted no more than 5 months, even with the training and encouragement that I provided, although I have another team member supposedly starting as soon as they save up the £125 that they need to start.
At £30 for a box of 50 sets of 4 catalogues they are not too bad in price and I can make 100 sets last 6 months or so until the new ones come out.
However there are a few annoying things about the business apart from the obvious traipsing around knocking on doors:
Stock outages can reduce your orders by up to 25%
You only get about 20% profit even though they make it sound like 33%
It's dog eat dog with the other distributors, who steal books, orders and rip down posters.
Hypocrisy rules in that you can't sell their products online, yet you will find them for sale on e-bay and they do nothing about it.
13% is about the most bonus you will make unless you seriously put full time effort into your sales or you can build up and maintain some sort of team.
During start up the book loss rate can be extremely high until you build up a level of trust with your customers.
Having seen some 20 or so other Kze distributors start and give up in my area, I can fully understand the frustrations they must have felt trying to compete with my customers loyalty as all they were left with was the dregs.
Betterware may seem to be a better option to some as long as you are just looking for a little top up income, although once again you can't sell online. At least you don't have to fight off the other betterware distributors as you get your own patch.
There are other options such as:
Synergy Worldwide which is health drink oriented but the prices are high and the products don't sell very well, although they are saleable online. I tried it for a while and it cost me a fortune.
FM Cosmetics which is full strength copied perfumes, saleable online and off, but they don't seem to have the range to compete with Avon. Websites are quite sweet (I found one of them at newsmells.com) but I think you would need to run it alongside of another business to make it profitable.
Avon seems to have too much of a saturation to make it worthwhile competing with other reps.
Ann Summers looks OK but a bit sexist in that it looks virtually impossible to run as a male.
So basically you need to make your own judgements and be prepared to graft which ever one you choose. None of them are get rich quick, but most can be used to make a bit extra.
The big earnings are usually found in companies that are newly started, but beware as they can burn out quickly if they are more successful than their distribution network.
Good luck with whatever you choose. All the best,

Its a shame when it reached this state, people enter Kleeneze to make money...not have money made from them by their up-lines.0
