It can seem an uphill struggle at times and putting out a few catalogues is harder work if you are on foot than putting out lots cos you are already out, i had people who went out with 20 a day and they felt they were in and out all week - which they were
, much better to stick to a plan of putting as many as you can out in one go (minimum 100, ideally more depending on how many your trolley takes) and then pick up all in one go as well, doesn't feel as bad.
The positive side to look at is that okay its hard work and the hourly rate can be very poor at least to start with BUT its exercise, its cheaper than going to the Gym, you meet more people and however little you are earning its extra.
After 5 years of doing catalogues i can't say i would do it again but it served a purpose at the time. I just wish i had kept what i had earnt from the retail each week instead of ploughing it and more back into the Biz to try and grow it.
If its income straightaway you want Betterware has to be the one, forget Network Marketing. We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!0 -
That's true about the meeting people and fitness. I lost a good stone when I did it as it was all on foot and I still say hello to people I met through my rounds even though it was 14 years ago now.
Regarding the not wanted catalogues. It might be easier to put a note on the door or in the window stating no door to door salesmen or similar. My SIL has one which says 'No Tinkers or hawkers' but Im sure a lot of people would have no idea what hawkers were.0 -
Its not about the fitness for me.
I have had enough with it and thinking of giving it up.
Hours too lnong to fit in with my main job.
Never mind.:oCurrent Debt £38,000:o

Kleeneze in our area is a bloody plague, I'm not joking when I say I get a catalogue nearly every week with a different name on the sticker.

I typically get either a Kleeneze or bettaware catalogue through the door EVERY week as there seem to be several people in my area doing it.
However what really annoys me is they put the slip saying when they want the catalogue back and I leave it out on the right day, only to find quite often it's not collected! Then it rains and I have a soggy mess on my doorstep. Then there are the ones that because it's not on the doorstep ring the bell when I've just put my daughter to bed and get irate that I've binned it.
So now, if I get one through the door it goes straight in the recycling. I know that will bother some of you but I tried leaving them outside and they were not collected, I told the people who knocked not to deliver them to me anymore and finally I got fed up.
So before anyone commits money to becoming the latest Kleeneze/Bettaware distributor bear in mind you'll get home owners like me.
this is one issue I have with the distributors ,never collecting the catalogue.:mad:0 -
No doubt the distributors pay for the catalogues (which have prices on), but they're stupid enough to put them through my letterbox - which I consider unsolicited goods and put in the bin.0

I always recycle them too. We have had two Betterware and one Kleenezee in the past month, all from someone called "Karen". Either it's a common name, or it's the same woman.0

when I did the betterware round,it was free to the distributors to replace the catalogues up to about 10 copies and then a penny each for more, not the £1 a catalogue that is printed on each one.
I never had anyone asking to 'buy' one and I never ever bothered to ask payment for lost ,destroyed ,they are just advertising after all.Why should people pay to be advertised at.0 -
