I think i might from payday 26th. I think 140 a week should cover my budget for food petrol and our activity/entertainment fund. This puts me to a round number. Ha ha. It might take me a while to straighten out as my cupboards will be bare again by then and i can only shop by myself at certain times but it may focus me better and stop me obsessing over the bank accounts. Hopefully i will have change that can go in a school holiday fund or something.
We done. One day to go and youve made it xxJan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Go for it neverending - it's quite interesting to see how quickly your mindset changes. Previously I wouldn't have thought twice about that meal before the theatre/lottery ticket/glass of wine but now I think about how it will affect my challenge :rotfl:I think it's the stubborn side of me£30,000 £7059.17 DMP consisting of...

So today is day 21/21 hooray! Payday tomorrow.
Start the day with £10 in my purse
Breakfast:cereal
Lunch:crackers and pate/laughing cow
Dinner:meatballs (YS from work freezer), pasta, garlic bread
Shouldn't need anything else today so today's £10 I have decided to pay off the mortgage. I'm paying interest on the mortgage and not on the DMP so it makes sense. The money left in my bank account and my ebay money from this month I'm torn as to which to put it towards. I so badly want the DMP gone but the interest on the mortgage is charged daily and it really galls me to see the balance going up every day and only going down the day I make my monthly installment.£30,000 £7059.17 DMP consisting of...

I'm looking forward to doing this again next month at £9 a day. That being said I have a lot more on next month including a 3 night hen weekend (I'm MOH) where it will be nigh-on impossible to stick to. Do I save from my £9 a day leading up to it to cover it? Or do I just write those few days off?£30,000 £7059.17 DMP consisting of...

I also really need to work on:
*not stockpiling for the inevitable apocalypse
*running down the stockpiled goods I already have
My cupboards are still very full even after this challenge but not everything goes together IYSWIM. Need to get bits on my big shop tomorrow that completes and uses up things I already have not just get more bits that don't go together.
The freezer is also crammed (I only have the tiny ice box section at the top of the fridge) so any YS items Ive been getting have been going in the freezer at work! Must try harder to run those both down.
That being said it's quite handy having the option of taking something out the freezer once I'm at work if I've forgotten to do so at home before leaving!£30,000 £7059.17 DMP consisting of...

Try one called Qmee its an app you put on your phone and there is little surveys on there. There surveys are good as they are quite short,0

Tough one about the hen do. If you have any put by already for it then just spend it and have a good time. If you are having to find the money before then i fear you will not manage to save from your 9 pounds a day-no offence. Its not a regular event so maybe if you can afford it write those days off as they will involve food, drink, taxis and random unexpected things which will all mount up.
Well done on the mortgage overpayment.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Accommodation and activities are paid for and everything is walking distance so shouldn't need taxis but I'm inclined to agree with you and just write those 96 hours off! It's Friday - Monday and will need food, drink and train fares so it's just not going to be feasible£30,000 £7059.17 DMP consisting of...
