  • Yesterday - day 7/21

I spent on a valentines card, milk and petrol on Monday night and put the odd change towards my penny-a-day challenge so went into yesterday with just the day's £10.

Breakfast and lunch were provided at the conference which was a result and my tummy behaved itself on the journey too thank goodness!

My husband treated us to a takeaway - I had chicken shish with lots of salad as had been craving veg for a while after a fair few days of unhealthy eating.

  • I honestly think I should be on commission for the slow cooker liners! I'm converting everyone - a lady at my work who I've got onto them gave one to her nephew to try yesterday. She said he was over the moon and you'd have thought she'd given him a £50 note - guess we know who usually does the washing up in their house!

  • So today - day 8/21

    £20 in my purse

    Breakfast - cereal
    Lunch - cheese and crackers
Dinner - undecided at the moment

Wednesday is the day we pop to the pub at lunchtime so I'll spend on half a shandy - we are being joined by a lady who retired from our place last year so will be nice to catch up.

    No other spends planned.

  • Saturday - day 11/21 over half way through this challenge!

    £25 in my purse

Saturdays are always a bit strange for us as we run a local sports club and are normally pretty busy rushing around. Sometimes it gets to the evenings and we realise not a thing has passed our lips all day! So we are trying to be a lot better and make sure we have something even if it's a naughty something.

    Breakfast: toast
    Lunch: didn't end up happening
    Dinner: pizza from the freezer

I have to admit I treated us to a glass of wine in the pub after sports and a bottle to share indoors too. We were so shattered we fell asleep on the sofa before finishing it then stumbled up to bed after waking with stiff necks in the middle of the night!
