  • Been Warned CCJ papers shall be coming through soon... Gone up to £160 now

If and then they do, I'm guessing I have to make a defence,

Can Anyone helps with what steps I need to complete if and when the court papers come through.

    Kind Regards

Your best bet is to follow the guidance offered in the NEWBIES thread.

In particular, post #2 of that thread.

As long as you can stomach their BS 'empty' feeble threats and your not allergic to scary looking letters with big red writing on them then carry on regardless.

Expect a LBA/LBCCC or even the actual Court claim, be prepared, get reading all about what, how and when to do things regarding Court claims and you will be fine.

Excel are a particularly nasty bunch of scammers and seem to like 'doing Court' but that doesn't mean you cant give them a good kicking in Court, I'm not an expert with Court like the regulars here but if I had the same defence you have I would not worry a jot about taking it to the Judge.
  • Thank you so much guys,

I am going to do some more reading and research on how to make a solid defense,

Thank you for your help again, it is hugely appreciated
  • So, the court papers have arrived in the post. I have to send a response either online or via the papers in regards to how much i think im liable for and to create a defense. I think manage to log online but I think it said I had 14 days to respond, but it could be extended to 28 days if I request.

I will check that newbies thread to see how to right my defense. It has come from a court in Northampton. Does that mean i will have to go there? many hours away!!

    Thank you...!

Get acquainted with the procedure before you do anything!!

See #2 in the newbies faq thread

That covers Court claims and what to do at each stage

First job is the AOS - a walkthrough is given in that post #2

What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?

No, you will not have to go to Northampton. Later in the process you get to choose your local County Court, but that is all explained in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread.
  • Im not going to state exact in case there are any watchers.... but very recently (less than week ago).
I will get my self familarised with this newbies thread

    Thank You
