  • hello

I have a glass shower screen and am struggling to keep it nice and shiny! I've tried using glass cleaner and cillit bang on it, but still can't remove the water marks/stains.... can anybody suggest anything?

    Thanks :)

I clean my windows with a cornflour paste.

It might be worth a go on the shower screen as it may remove the water marks. Not as an everyday cleaner for the shower screen but if you can get rid of the marks you can use which ever you prefer after.

I live in a very hard water area and have found that misting with white vinegar then wiping with a microfibre cloth works wonders ( and it isn't that smelly!!);)

my mum became my cleaner and couldn't believe how filthy my shower screen was.
She said she had to use cillit bang, and that I should wipe the screen down after every shower with a dry cloth.

So all I do is keep one hanging over the shower and wipe down whilst I am still in there
Its a bit weird being able to see out now though!

  • Use glycerin once a week, it acts as a waterproof layer.

Once you've got it clean use shower spray after every shower, no more problems;)
  • Afternoon all.

Have been reading about Stardrops and vinegar and have picked up some terrific tips, so thank you all for that!

However, the cleaning product that I buy the most of by far is Mr Muscle Shower Shine - it's the stuff you spray on to shower cubicles and baths after a shower, and it stops the water leaving water marks.

I live in a hard water area and was getting horrible white limescale patches wherever the water dried...which then are a pain to scrub off etc. Using the Shower Shine is brilliant and instead of having to scrub with limescale remover every week (which still means that the shower looks grim for 6 days out of 7...), I can give it a quick spray every day and the bathroom always looks sparkling.

Just wondered if anyone has had a similar problem and found a cheap concoction/product which does the same thing?
