Well I applied as advised and opened an account. So it would appear that I am entitled to WTC although I don't receive it. I think you are correct NedS that my WTC has reduced to zero but I still receive CTC. Pretty confusing! Thanks for the help all.
That's great :T
Next up, if you have a partner, and both names of on the tax credits claim, did you know you can open a Help to Save account each and have twice the fun
I have been trying to open an online account for my son, who meets the elibility criteria.
However, he is only 20, does not have a passport and has insufficient credit history to get through the Government Gateway ID or GOV. UK Verify processes.
This seems unreasonable as he has an online UC account and he is registered with HMRC through his employer, a public body.
Are his only options to phone the helpline number to set up an account manually? This would mean that he would not be able to have an online account with all the benefits of management that brings, especially as he is autistic and does not like making calls.
I do not see why the Help to Save scheme could not be available through the online UC passport account since to have one and be in receipt of UC, you need to gave had your identity checked and verified (which my son had to do in person at the local Job Centre Plus as he was unable to prove his identity online for the reasons stated above).

Did you try all the different GOV.UK Verify providers?
A family member was to receive their bonus 'From 1st Feb 2020', but hasn't yet. Does anyone know what the timescales are for the bonuses to actually be paid ? Thanks in advance

Mine said that but the email said from 10th February and my current account shows it as pending for Monday.
Just require clarification. If i opened an HTS on the 1st March, but don't make any payment into it until the 1st of April, then because it was opened in March, then March counts as month 1 even if nothing paid in. In essence, i want to set it up while my mind lets me, but i don't want the 2 year period start until 1st April, when i start paying in by direct debit. I think i know the answer, but thought i would see how others feel it works. Appreciate the feedback
Year 2 almost complete two payments before 1st April extra is payed into bank account. Didn't quite make full 24 payments though managed 850 highest balance before 'New Rules i.e. persistent debt' took charge of most savings. +Kitchen Flooring fully paid. Looking forward to years 3+4 hopefully continuing 50 pounds per month, Only after two years I'll need to re consider best way to save.
Replenished CRA Reports.2015 Zoe i nav -90-100 miles top charge. Savings continue.Faster Fibre has arrived albeit 1gb to 500mb.

I have 425 being paid in from 1st April being late starter and making some New Rules withdrawals.
