Oh yes! We had one of those too although ours was in a village on the Wiltshire/Dorset border. At least one viewing was by a couple you could tell were just nosey to see what a thatched cottage was like inside (and we later found out they weren't looking to buy either) - fortunately it sold after only a handful of viewings so that was soon knocked on the head

Annoying but perhaps they phoned the agent who was closed and they had no way to contact you out of office hours. Is it worth buying a cheap pay as you go mobile phone so you can give viewers that number (via the EA) and they can text you if they cannot make it? That way you give them a way to let you know but don't compromise your usual phone numbers.
EDIT Whoops missed your latter post where you've already chosen to give your mobile number out.0 -
Your posts on your many moves and renovations are always a good read, you should have a blog. You have such interesting properties and renovate with sympathy to the property. I couldn't do anything like that much !phoebe1989seb wrote: »I think out of seven house sales ...0 -

Other than being clean and reasonably tidy, I think staging is a waste of time. Price and location are key as always. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -

One of my friends had a no-show - except that they turned up 2 hours later after he'd put the chip pan on.0 -

And then for the ‘viewers’ not bother to turn up really pi**es me off.
Today’s viewing for a second viewing so he could bring his wife round... I know the EA is closed, but we know he only lives half a mile away, so if something came up to prevent them keeping the appointment they could have slipped a note through the door...
Is it common for people who book viewings to not turn up? I am afraid I am ‘Old School’ and to do this is both rude and unprofessional.
Even if he contacts the agent tomorrow with some !!!! and bull excuse, then I will not sell to him.....
Rant over......
Do a spring clean before putting the house on the market. Not only will it look it's best for photos it's not going to take ages to clean and tidy for each viewing.0 -

It was an open day. We didn't know the area very well at the time, there were no parking spaces at all, it was a street with terraced houses on both sides and a Saturday. I got quite annoyed the EA hadn't thought to point this out, so I didn't think they deserved a return call.
We eventually bought a house a few streets away from this one with a driveway, and you still can't park in that road...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
