Advice on closing Joint Account

My partner has a joint savings account with her ex that she is wanting to close. She has spoken with the bank previously who have sent out paperwork for them both to complete. She has not received this so it’s presumably with him, and been ignored.
They are no longer in contact and she’d prefer not to make contact to try and resolve this. Just wondering if there’s any way she can remove herself from the account or have it closed herself. The balance of the account is at zero.

Didn't you already post this question a few days ago?
I would say ask your partner to carefully check the account Ts&Cs as it may be possible to close the account unilaterally. Customers and even bank staff often assume this action is two-to-sign but the actual account terms may say differently.
If no joy, get her to approach the bank to put the account under dispute with instructions to close. They'll reach out to the ex for a response and may potentially take the decision to closethe account if he's unavailable for comment.: )0 -

Nope, this is my first time posting for some time. Thanks for the advice and I’ll pass this on to her!0 -

Sometimes a letter stating the sort code, account number and no longer required type paragraph is enough to get this done.

If the account has no balance that you'd care about it, it may be possible to simply get yourself removed from the account if you are unable to close it. The account will still be open but would be solely in you ex's name, so no longer your responsibility.0
