The photos clearly show it's only a Freelander 2, not a Range Rover as reported.I am suprised that his car went over, they are big and heavy, it must some wack on the side of it.
Yes, there has. One in the passenger seat, and others in another car following.also where was his protection squad? as there has been no mention.
He has a driving licence, and is insured, so as long as he's in good enough health, then why not? There's no upper age limit on driving. Also why the hell is he still driving on public roads?0 -

its an armored plated freelander with inch thick laminated glass, im guessing the kia wedged under it to flip it on the side.0 -

It is quite ridiculous for a 97 year old to be driving when they are so filthy rich and have professional, highly trained drivers employed 24/7 at their beck and call.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

Really hope your day job isn't an accident claims investigator.
Erm, an accident claims investigator should walk into every case with an open mind as to what happened, not a preconceived idea based on a newspaper reportSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Given that the photos show a Freelander 2 with substantial damage to NSF wing and door, and that it was pulling out of a side road onto an A-road, it's really quite tricky to think of any other way to apportion blame.
Unless the Kia was doing more than 60mph, and/or on the wrong side of the road. Neither of which seem likely. No free lunch, and no free laptop
