The question is why the Scotch Whisky has been singled out when Boris is Don's BFFL?
Airbus has a facility in Prestwick in Scotland. The products targeted were specifically choosen. Doubt that he is bothered by the additional cost.0 -

We got there in the end. Despite his affinity with Scotland and being best buds with Boris he still gave them both the shaft.
Brexiteers who fantasise about Donnie riding to the rescue with a trade deal need to wake up. America First - you'd think most people would see the clue in the name.0 -
Notwithstanding the glistening irony of the advertising campaign telling us to “get ready for brexit” when the government is about as far from ready as it’s possible to be, here’s what the campaign really should look like:

Oh for pity's sake...
This is people's livelihoods. Hundreds of thousands of people. Car plants are shutting production and workers being laid off. Because of Brexit. Because car manufacturers don't want to build cars in Brexitland in an already challenging market.
Oh for pity's sake indeed.
Car jobs lost so far this year:
VW 7,000
Ford 5,000
Daimler 10,000
Opel 4,000
Total to date this year: 26,000
In the UK, because of Brexit?
No.
In Germany.
Who are not leaving the EU.
And their motor industry has warned then that they will lose a minimum - a minimum - of 100,000 auto industry jobs within the coming few years.
Another source says half of all German auto jobs will go.
Being in the EU certainly isn't helping their auto industry.0 -

Typical EU: let's keep selling ourselves the outdated, inefficient & expensive stuff that nobody else wants for as long as we can while the rest of the world develops cleaner and cheaper equivalents around us.
No wonder they're going to lose half their auto manufacturing workers over the next few years.
Meanwhile the haters here in the UK decry Dyson for siting his UK-designed EV production in the heart of the largest purchasing area and pooh-pooh Ineos Automotive for starting up in Wales and working on alternative fuels for the near future, including hydrogen.
More (current) mainstream, the Jaguar i-Pace was the 2019 car of the year & the investment of hundreds of millions of pounds will, the company say, see electric versions offered across the range from next year.0 -

Dyson has cancelled his electric car as he believes he's unable to make a profit from it.
India and China are the largest growth markets for German made BMWs.
Your arguments would be more convincing if your facts weren't wrong, but that's Brexit for you. Who needs facts when you have prejudice?0 -

No no no that's not how it works around here.
He made a decision to build electric cars back in 2017 and now has to stick to it. I don't care if it's economically viable or not, he HAS to go ahead with it. Do or die.0 -
Only a matter of days left
It’s clear to everybody that they will never come to an agreement that everyone will agree toThe thing about chaos is, it's fair.0 -

European car makers are leading the way in EV research and development. If you wish to get a clue - which I doubt - Google VWs ID3 or PSA's e-CMP platform for example. Real cars, real technology, unlike Dyson's fantasies.0
