So many said no deal will never happen,
Now it seems no deal will happen because they will never come to any agreement0 -

The fact is it can happen if parliamentarians do not stop it.
What I find sad is that we all know that probably a quarter of the country are devoutly in favour of remain and about the same have an evangelical belief in leaving without a deal. The easy thing is for remainers to claim disaster and leavers to chant 52-48. The difficult thing is to think objectively about what Brexit and Remain will do to us and make an objective decision.
I fully accept the EU has faults but I also fearful of us leaving without establishing good trade deals.
Those who voted leave to stop immigration are not getting their wish, except in the narrow sense that we are no longer viewed by many as the place to go and heading towords being a poorer nation.
Those who voted to control our borders now see our government now see a governmment who refuses to police the land border with NI
As for taking our place on the worrd stage and trading with all and sundry. Through the EU we had trade deals with 70 countries. So far we have negotiated trade deals covering just 11% of our trade. We have a government running around trying to replicate (not replace and improve) as many of the EU trade deals we are currently party to as it can. Which of our major trade partners have we got deals with (US, FRance, Germany, Netherlands, China, Spain, Italy,)? Answer none yet.
Leaving the EU may make sense in to those wanting to return to the era of greatness, but we are in danger of sacrificing what we have for something we can never have.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
'An extreme Tory brexit'. Such an interesting choice of words to describe a situation brought about by extreme remainers who couldn’t bring themselves to vote for the only deal on the table.
Nice try but May's deal would have passed if not for the extreme Tory Brexiteers voting against it.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Britain's politicians are certainly showing themselves to be a bunch of childish fools.
Jo Swinson managed what, about three days as Lib Dem leader, before proving she's utterly unfit for the position.0 -

She made a misstep (although one she has rowed back from pretty quickly), if you think that makes her unfit for her position I don't know what you must think of Corbyn!
Even with LD grudging support Corbyn does not have the votes to lead a GNU, he can't bring the Tory rebels onside, and I would guess he needs 8 of them as a bare minimum and probably more.0 -

just a slight amendment to provide a more factually accurate account.
Perhaps an indication of what a totally s*** deal it was?0 -

If a no deal Brexit is to be avoided, one of two things must happen.
First, remainer MPs need a plan that they can all agree on but they’re fighting like ferrets in a sack so that won’t happen. Second, the EU would need to chuck Ireland under a bus and that won’t happen either.
My guess is that we leave on the 31st October with some kind of standstill agreement.0 -

It was better than than leaving without a deal. Not as good as remaining of course.0 -

Just remembered what David Cameron and other leading remain campaigners said during the referendum campaign. Leaving the EU is
- Once in a life time experience
- Leaving The single Market
- Leaving the custom Union
So why extreme? They just want to deliver what exactly have been said during the referendum campaign. They should instead be crowned as democratic heroes.
Keep in mind UK spend a few million pounds a year in foreign aids to help other countries to embrace democracy & peace.

Considering how many years UK have been doing this, this will have mounted to a few billion pounds in real term. There will be a few billion pounds of taxpayer’s money will be wasted in foreign aiming of other countries to embrace and peace democracy if UK cannot implement what they have preached in their own home.

Those who have tried hard to reverse the result of the referendum should instead be called the enemy of democracy.0
