Brexit the economy and house prices part 7: Brexit Harder

How many ways are there of doing nothing? How many variants are there of 'maintain the status quo'? How many directions can 'stay where we are' take us? I'm not surprised that remainers haven't got anything substantial to discuss amongst themselves.
So we'll just have to listen to their indignant splutterings instead.
What you are really saying is that the future is uncertain and no one has a crystal ball. Well, no ****, Sherlock!
I notice you have not answered any of my other questions:- Have you ever seen remainers argue over the meaning of remain?
- Had remain won, would we be agonising stuck in a limbo and unable to make up our mind? Or would the outcome of remain have been clear?
- Would remain have avoided this limbo which is paralising the country and making us the laughing stock of Europe? Yes or no??
They are simple yes or no question - come on, it's not too hard. Yes, because... Or: no, because...
If 100 people are in Hyde Park, 48 vote to stay put, 26 want to go to Regent's park and 26 want to go to a pub, what is the majority? Yes, those who want to stay don't have a crystal ball and cannot predict with certainty if it will rain, if the ice cream van will pass by, etc. This doesn't change the fact that the choice to remain is clear and unambiguous; the two alternatives are mutually exclusive.0 -

Also, I ask again:- Had remain won, would we be agonising stuck in a limbo and unable to make up our mind? Or would the outcome of remain have been clear?

I fear not.
Boris is like cat-nip to any given electorate. In any subsequent election involving BJ and Corbyn, there's only one winner.
You mean ****holes? Yes I agree, but I still have a glimmer of faith that there aren't quite enough of them to propel a self serving hard right aristocrat to power.
Labour are ahead in the polls by the way.0 -

I recall similar hubris before BJ's two London Mayoral victories.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

The other 2 questions are easy ones.
- A slender remain majority would have been seized on by the ruling business elites and career politicians as proof positive we need to remain part of the 1000 year EU Reich.
- With all the closet remainer MPs now reassured, they can all come out openly, rub their hands and say 'business as usual'. Parliaments incompetency would have remained hidden then have been revealed later rather than sooner.

So you've answered your own question about why remainers don't debate among themselves 'how to remain'.The other 2 questions are easy ones.

Remain is a magical mystery tour the route or destination nobody can currently define. We can ask the driver and try to influence where it goes but I feel the UK electorate decided given the recent route and the potential future destinations it was time to get off this particular bus and see what other options are available. And contrary to the perspective of many fearmonger remainers we are not about to get on the Young One's bus and go to see Ciff!SouthLondonUser wrote: »Shameful reich comment aside, you have basically admitted that remain means no ambiguity, and that, had remain won, we would not have been stuck in a painful limbo like we have for leave. It was painful, but you have finally admitted it - I am proud of you!
No ambiguity? Some may say not but still much uncertainty, so let's try something different. So rather than sitting in Regent's park listening to the crap band and eating the rubbish food, let's talk a short walk to Green Park. Let's stop off on the way and get a few things for our picnic and build something to enjoy there rather than just sitting thinking nothing can ever get better.
With regard to your other question:SouthLondonUser wrote: »Have you ever seen remainers argue over the meaning of remain?...
No because they are always complaining about the majority that voted to leave and; how we have all been mislead, how we are all bigots, how we are all xenophobes and racists, and how ignorant we are, how we have no interest in the future of our Country, how we have betrayed the future of our children and grandchildren, how the majority wasn't really a majority, how democracy can be circumvented, how bad it will be for the country and lots of other wind and blather.
Take a step back, understand democratic process rather than try to undermine it and move on.0 -

We are all still waiting! Guess it will be a long and pointless wait...
It would be fascinating to study what happens in the brain of these people. They say something. You prove it's wrong. They stay silent but continue with their patently wrong "opinion".
It's like trying to convince a Texan that gun control is good. Or flatearthers that the earth is not flat. Or truthers that vaccines don't cause autism.
Even the distinction between facts and opinion isn't clear to them. I mean, what will happen in 5 years may be an opinion, but whether the remain campaign argued on the meaning of remain or not is a verifiable fact...
Had a Brexiteer reply to me today ...
"WTO is stage one of Brexit, this is what seems to be confusing to people. The agreements with various countries and blocs would be negotiated from that starting point, but without a starting point nothing happens
This is what has been painfully apparent over the last 3 years.
Brexit is a direction, not a single event"C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down.
