Links please on the EU not looking agreeable.
France is the biggest obstacle.

Thankyou, he’s certainly putting the pressure on (and quite rightly so)
But from your link...But Wright predicted that when “push came to shove” she believed Macron preferred an extension to Britain's departure over a "no-deal Brexit" that would be also be economically damaging for France.0 -
But from your link...
Speculating that he will cave doesn't really prove anything. He might, he might not. It's evidence that they may not agree, I accept that we don't know.
Interesting debate in parliament at the moment, they wanted to condemn the ERG who have held the attitude that we have had no influence within the european parliament and yet were threatening to frustrate the parliament if we were forced to field candidates.
For them to believe the threat, they must accept that we have had some influence.0 -
Even if there isn't unanimous agreement on the extension today, it still does leave a few days where the pressure is on, to possibly find another solution apart from "No Deal"
If any kind of positive agreement was reached in Parliament or even just between the 2 main parties as a basis to proceed, a short extension would likely be a formality.
And revocation is still the nuclear option to avoid no deal (not that I think it is likely)0 -
Stephen Gethins just wished everyone in parliament a happy unicorn day. I think they're still busy looking for it.0

I expect the EU to cave in any moment now.
As we buy a lot of Prosecco and Mercs.
They need us so much more than we need them.
We hold all the cards.
As soon as German businesses knock on Merkel's door, we'll be offered the greatest deal ever.
It's just a matter of time.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -
I cannot believe that some people do not understand that certain media outlets ran this Brexit show up to now anyway.
It was all Brexit is good, EU bad from you know who. The other outlets did try to redress the balance, but their audience knew the whole thing was ridiculous, so they were speaking to the choir anyway.
Very sad that certain media played on the jingoistic element of UK society, but it did, and here we are.
Politics and Civil Society together with a full History curriculum that includes NI history is so necessary now as a subject in schools everywhere. I for one hold my hand up to say I now know much more about Parliamentary procedures and all that. But I took an interest.
I often wonder how many watched Parliament live TV as opposed to the tabloids and other propaganda outlets.
Big lesson to everyone. Do not believe what you read. See it in action.0 -
The question of which object comes next in the sequence [square] [pentagon] [hexagon] [heptagon] remains the same whether you are sitting in a formal education setting, standing on the African savannah or lying upside down inside a barrel of mollasses which has been dropped from a plane at 20,000 feet.
Mostly those tested were from Western countries, with a pre-existing level of Western educational backgrounds. Hence those tests would discriminate against anyone who did not confirm to that demographic.
Whilst there are non-verbal tests, they are still standardised using the cohort approach, and therefore are likely to be unreliable if used to determine "intelligence" for those not conforming to the cohort specifications.
Additionally, "intelligence" by IQ can refer to various aspects of cognition depending on the exact test protocol, and the different aspects do not necessarily co-ordinate.0 -
IQ tests tend to require extreme speed of thought. The tests are designed such that 'anyone' could eventually work out the answers to the questions, you simply need to be able to do it quicker than others. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
