WW2 ended 73 years ago, so you'd probably need to be about 80 to actually remember anything about it. 2.4% of the population is over 85, but I've no idea how many voted.
The age group that voted most for Leave seems like the ones that falls in the post-war category - enjoying a huge boom, great employment, and a heavy diet of plucky war films and press. Not so many of them remember living through it. I think that results in a lot of the over confidence seem from being claiming things like "we survived the blitz, we'll survive Brexit" or "We didn't win the war so that Europe could bully us".0 -
France enacts a law that will lead to higher food prices. Does Macron have a death wish?

Remainers carp on about the possibility of importing USA-sourced hormone-fed beef & chlorinated chicken ( we'll ignore the UK's love for chlorine-washed salads or our hormone-laden water here) ................ all the while ignoring what is happening now - like the Polish rotten beef scandal with this stuff popping up all across Europe!

Even Germans think the EU unfair over Brexit:
"German anger builds over dangerous handling of Brexit by EU ideologues "The report implicitly rebuked the European Commission for mishandling its negotiations with Britain and for trying to use the legal advantage of the Article 50 process to dictate a harsh settlement, with little regard for long-term strategic and diplomatic interests.0 -
Any Job losses or GDP in ROI will be inflicted BY THE ACTIONS of the UK.
Not by US Corporations taking advantage of ROI's low corporate tax rates.
Something the Irish haven't yet resolved withe Commission I should add.0 -

Nope, they're completely different issues.
That story is about illegal meat (which was exported in small quantities and did not even reach the UK). The chlorinated chicken issue re any US trade deal is that their legal meat production includes practices banned over here.0 -
The American meat industry is an abomination. From a welfare perspective it makes the horror of our intensive farming practices look like a Dr Dolittle franchise, and from a health perspective, genetically modified, hormone and antibiotic saturated meat? No thanks.0

In your opinion. He's made it clear he's happy to engage in discussions if the destructive no deal is taken off the table and the money put to something useful, and that seems perfectly fair.
As is his offer for May to stand down and let him run it. Why should he do anything else? He's the opposition leader and the Tory whipping boy.
It’s almost as though his claim to always support dialogue was a lie and he did just want to consort with terrorists.0 -

Hamas weren't asking Corbyn to sort out their mess though, I'm sure.0 -
It is remarkable how many remember the war but forget the peace. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0
