Brexit the economy and house prices part 7: Brexit Harder

@StevieJ
They seem, very frequently, to forget what they were tasked with but it is clearer now than ever before that politicians only look after themselves and do not respect the democratic process that elects them or their own decision making process.
We should stop the subversion of democracy and dissolve Parliament and enable those that want to deliver the outcome that was requested to get on and deliver it.
The mistake was to have a referendum, (binary choice) on an issue as complicated as leaving the EU. Recognising an error is not a subversion of democracy. The strength of democracy is that it allows people to change their minds and re-visit their decisions.0 -
It looks like May's deal.....we'll be stuck in a backstop Customs Union for as long as it takes us to agree a trade agreement with the EU. So we're going to be accepting the EU's rules and regulations for as long as this new trade agreement takes to come about and will be paying into the EU and will have no say on how the money is spent:mad:. Realistically this new trade agreement could take many years! Anything could happen meantime.....France could make an issue of fishing......Spain could raise Gibraltar.....it's going to be a never ending nightmare!
The Brexit campaigners told the British people trade deals can be put together very quickly. Are you saying they lied?
Thanks MobyThere will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
German Government reportedly in favour of the merger of the Deutsche and Commerz banks.
Just watched an interview where one expert talking-head predicted that the tie-up could cost up to 40K to 50K banking jobs.
I'll let the irony of that news sink in for some of the miserablist remoaners on here..........“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -
I'll help out with your misapprehension.
The question was: "Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?"
Norway is outside the EU.
A Norway style deal would make us leave the European Union. As per the question on the ballot paper.
End of.
So let us leave and see what we can negotiate.
If we stay because we cannot, or do not have the will to, negotiate a deal then we have no control over our future and will forever be lap dogs.0 -

Depends upon your perspective I suppose but as the adage goes "never ask a question when you might not like the answer".
The genie is out, our politicians gave us that option and should deliver what they gave the people the choice to decide upon.0 -
FOM is a fundamental right guaranteed by the EU to its citizens.
That right still stands 100%.
The temporary introduction of Border Controls to deal with an influx of Non-EU migrants does not infringe in any way on the FOM rights of EU citizens.
Do you understand now?
I understand that I was sat at the border between Austria and Germany for long period that would not support you premise that I have FOM. Until I got to the border there was no way of differentiating therefore defacto we were all being checked. Hence no FOM.
Also the short period for these measures has frequently been extended beyond those allowable within EU rules, so they do not comply and frequently break their own rules.0 -
MARCH ON WESTMINSTER: Farage to lead HUGE Brexit protest march from Sunderland to London.

I think we're safe from mass civil unrest when Brexit gets cancelled.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -
Given the level of planning I'm not sure. They apparently had a 5 mile detour since they tried to cross a bridge that isn't open on Sundays.0

I don't think FoM requires it to be borderless, but that once your citizenship is established you don't need any reason or cross the border.0
