I would be able to cover the costs of the £255 for putting in a claim, I just don’t want to waste time and money if most people think I stand no chance in winning. And I also have no idea where to start with the claim or how to go about filling the form in etc etc, I may speak to a mortgage advisor tomorrow and see what there thoughts are0

If you can speak to one quickly then that's fine. It will give you an idea of how much this will affect your mortgage.
You don't have no chance but I wouldn't pin any hopes on getting one.0 -
When you say I don’t have no chance.. are you referring to a mortgage or winning a set aside claim?0

We do see cases set aside almost every time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Do you think I should push for a side aside then? Although I’ve already paid and the ccj has been satisfied? Do I stand a chance still?0

It does seem a very divided topic, what’s your personal view?
I’ve spoken to some mortgage advisors and they seem to think due to the circumstances I still stand a chance getting a mortgage, but I’m still undecided whether to try get a set aside it seems a lot of work involved and I wouldn’t know how to put a decent claim forward - any advice?0 -
I hate to say but it's your call. Like I said personally I would.0

A set aside isn't "a lot of work"
