Hi, sorry could you send me the links or information about the newbies and sir Greggs Knight bill please?
So in your opinion do you think most lenders will take this into account when I apply for a mortgage? If I put forward what you have said and can prove I am a victim and not a credit risk?
Thankyou!
All the information you need about the proposed bill is in the NEWBIES which is on the main page where you started this thread.
It begins,

I have no idea if lenders will take this into account, but you won't know if you don't try.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
At the time my address was my previous one, I wasn’t at the address when the fine was issued. I wasn’t avoiding the fine just no knowledge due to being at a new address
All my addresss are now upto date.
All this is history now. Please get your terminology correct, you were never given a fine, you were given a speculative invoice by a scammer and when talking to a mortgage broker, you use those words0 -
Ok thankyou,
Sorry I’m like a fish out of water here!!
Giving all that I’ve read on here by people, will mortgage advisors be aware of this situation I find myself in? As this seems a very common occurrence. A very frustrating situation0 -

Again, we do not know what other people know, but they will know once you tell them.
Do your research and present it to your prospective lender in a concise and rational manner, using as many different sources as possible. Do emphasise the words our MPs have used.I married my cousin. My main concern is with it on my record where it leaves me with getting a mortgage, which will be within the next year.
Use a broker, several brokers, you will probably find a lender, but they may charge more than if you did not have a CCJ.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
What the OP does not want is to apply adlib leaving a footprint on his credit file.
A good Mortgage broker will understand this0 -
If you are applying for a mortgage soon it may be worth gambling the £255 on getting a set aside.0
-
What are you thoughts? What would you recommend me doing? Speaking to a mortgage advisor and eeeing what they say and think of my situation? Would you take the risk of a set aside claim?0
-
Personally I would take the gamble but my financial position may be very different to yours.
Speaking to a mortgage advisor could lead to an undue delay. Time is now of the essence.0
