Morning all.
I'm having a bit of a lazy day today as I have two social gatherings to attend. I'm such a butterfly :rotfl:
I did however, do about four hours of decorating in our back hallway yesterday and it's really made a difference. I love painting. I find it therapeutic and I was quite happy listening to the radio. Then the goat inspector turned up and stayed chatting for over an hour! Lovely lady with lots of useful advice, so that was good. I passed the inspection with flying colours too, which was great
.
Kitchen is still clean and tidy, as is my bedroom - I think I'm finally getting somewhere...
*whispers* Pigpen, my Christmas tree is still up too...;)
Catch up later x0 -
Morning all. Not sure what I'm doing today but I have one load of washing spinning and another one to do. It's supposed to be sunny today so it will be going out on the line. Then we'll see!0

Still full of cold and another bad night.
I managed everything on my list yesterday (yes, even the church council meeting - if I hadn't gone, I don't think we would have been quorate and there were important matters to discuss: we made good progress).
Rosie woke me up at about 2.30, so I let her out in the garden and she bounced around barking at something in the lane - fox?
I had a number of coughing fits during the night so ended up sleeping fitfully on the sofa.
Nothing in the diary for today, no washing to be one,and the house is tidy if not clean, but I must
- go back to bed for a couple of hours
- hoover downstairs (or get DH to do it)
- take Rosie for a walk, hopefully while the sun is shining
- wrap and post DGS2's birthday card and first part of his present (will do that this afternoon, in case the postman delivers part 2 today)
Other than that, I might finish knitting a camel

Precisely why it is all still on the list!!*whispers* Pigpen, my Christmas tree is still up too...;)
We got most of it down yesterday and back int he loft!! OH was off but there are still a few bits to put away .. I even had to vacuum right through after said tree shed half of its rainbow 'leaves' and OH walked them all over the house.. he had them on his shoes and clothes and didn't sweep himself before leaving the room so the bits are literally everywhere.. He isn't my favourite person at the moment.. I am losing patience with the feigned stupidity.. he pretends to be stupid so I don't ask him to do things because it is easier to do it myself.. but if I wanted or was able to do it myself I would. I cannot abide pretend stupidity.. it isn't cute!!
CF has been winning prizes again.. DS3 keeps dropping anecdotes about stuff he said on Monday when he went there.. Apparently OH is gay.. I've seen the stuff he watches when he thinks I don't know.. I can quite categorically state he is not! lol.
I managed to get my bedding washed yesterday eventually.
***DRUMROLL PLEASE**
After 6 YEARS (in April) I am FINALLY getting the gaping open chimney breast in the backroom fixed. I have also ordered the materials to do the floor in the backroom so I can get the new carpet down which I have had for just over 2 years.
This means there will be no step up into the kitchen and a smaller step down into the back room. The kitchen door used to be the backdoor so it has a 6cm lintel to step over which means I, being Queen Idiot, smash my toes on it at least 3 times a day and have done for the last 15 years!
I am taking advantage of the room being empty and redecorating in there too... I am being super cheap and using the same wallpaper/paint as I have in the front room to avoid further financial outlay.. because I am cheap! (skint after paying for the above)
T delivery booked for Friday night.. 7-11 was the cheapest slot so that is what we went with.. we would have been doing the shopping at that time anyway so it makes no difference but will probably save us about £1000 in 'extras' OH slips in the trolley and I don't need people.
Todays fun..
OH is at work 12-9
I have a delivery to watch out for
Wash nest
Post ebeast parcel
Close and reopen Paypal account.. They wont change the name on it so this is the only way.
Fold remaining 15 piles of clean laundry. My house smells like a laundrette there is so much wet stuff dyring all over it.
I am doing 1 hour in the middle room today... I need to sort what is going in the bin, in the shed and should be elsewhere.I know there is at least 1 binbag for CS in there. I want to get rid of the tiny baby toys too.. Twinkle is 3 in June I think we can live without rattles!
Anyway.. best shift.. sitting here thinking about all the things I am 'going to do' isn't getting them done.

I'm not going back to bed after all

Two potentially major problems for an event next week have been averted, with half a dozen phone calls, two emails and crossed fingers as I tried my hand at unfamiliar technology (it worked :T:T:T) - and as a result I now have to deliver a CD to town. Will post DGS's present part 1 on the way home and collapse after that...0 -
Afternoon everyone,
Tesco delivery delivered👍 (Should have been yesterday but added something last minute and forgot to check out 😡 so still in my basket when I rang to politely enquire where my food was 😜)
Anyhow, all done now and put away. Hoovered through, dogs walked, ironing done.
Lunch next then need to do the bathroom.
Finally caught up with this weeks list, all level 1, but it’s a start x0 -
I am tired and grumpy. Had a blazing row with DH last night; as if him working away isn't hard enough, this week he hasn't rung until around 9pm, knowing full well that a) I'm generally asleep by then and b) he's half cut when he rings. My dad was an alcoholic, don't get me wrong I love a glass of wine, but DH drinking every night, a lot, is bothering me.
Once this contract concludes in May things will be very different. I honestly feel like I may as well be a single mum a lot of the time. Rant over.
Work done (lovely Year 11s), dog walked, washing out, house tidy, market visited for F&V xMFW

(((Hugs))) ATB.
You're right, Pigpen. The list of unattractive jobs that have been outstanding for [STRIKE]weeks[/STRIKE] months is gradually getting shorter, but goodness it's taking some motivation to get through them.
Foodbank stint done, two letters in the paper today (yay me!), bank statements have arrived so they need reconciling, and I'm off to a meeting in Totnes tonight so won't have much time get get much else done.
Such a shame. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Better is good enough.0 -

Day started out with a mess up.. got DS2 to the bus stop & realised not only had I forgotten to give him his bus fare, I’d not brought my purse... arrrg.. so DS2 had an impromptu day off.. ha not, I put him to work immediately when we got back in..
Carpet removed along with the underlay, 1/2 bed cut up and put in car along with another old bed base (all cut up to fit)
Tip run done, DS2 helped to offload
Staples removed from floor.
Vacuumed upstairs, especially the boys room.
Wall scrubbed by DS1 bed, dried and then painted to cover marks.
Bag of bits to the charity shop.
Groceries picked up while dropping DS2 into town
Tea is a Shepard’s pie from the freezer with yummy fresh veg (thanks to my step mum dropping it off!)
Bath run for DS1 who’s on his way home after starting work at 4am:eek:
I have decided that’s enough for one day & to stop the fatigue tomorrow I will have a nice soak later and an early night
