YG! I haven't seen one in my inbox for weeks, I'd forgotten about them! Wonder what's going on, I have maybe 1000 points. I might faff about a bit this evening, log in and see if they send me something as a result.

I like jam :) I've even made it sometimes.

I used to get several Ugov surveys a week but they've really slowed down lately. I'm nearly at 4000 points but its taking ages. Might be worth checking your settings in case you are not signed up for all available surveys??

Will you eventually have enough garden fruits for jam making?

    Will have to leave for work meeting around 2.30 and won't get back until lateish. Few jobs to do before I go;

Make a frittata for work lunches and for late tea tonight if needed.
    Potatoes cooking for that.

Finish strimming/cutting the grass edges and remove a few more weeds. If there is time, use the dandelion removing thing to ehm remove all the dandelions in the front garden.

    Do some work emails.

Sew a button onto my blouse - currently being closed with a safety pin :o

Yep, jam was a staple food in our household :D

I used to get several a week, like you, but I think if you don't answer a few, or you never answer the prize points, they like to smack you :rotfl: I'll go over there this evening and kowtow a bit. 4000 points for you is a lot to lose!

:o if I could figure out a way to get the ants off the blackcurrant bush, then yes. Actually, I have enough rhubarb to make rhubarb jam. Excellent. Do you have any tips about the ants? I'm probably too late for most of it :o

Are you wanting to dispose of the ants altogether? I know you can buy stuff in a sealed plastic that is ant bait and they take it as food into the nest? Not sure how well it works though especially outside. There were ants all over the rhubarb earlier in the year but they don't seem to be there now.

In the spirit of KC's earlier pun I got on sew-sew with my list from this morning :D.

I strimmed the grass and weeded. Lots of dandelions removed from the front garden but loads at the side also to remove.

    Work emails written

Fritatta made - didn't think there was much in the fridge to put in it but in the end it was quite chunky. Used onions, potatoes, tomatoes, courgette, yellow pepper, peas, mushroom, coriander and feta. Should do for 4 meals with salad.

Didn't sew the button on but did do a couple of Prolific surveys :)

Watered some of the pots when I got home, excited to see my courgette plant has 5 flowers developing

Early start tomorrow so heading to bed soon.

:j Tee hee ... at least you did some of it. And that fritatta sounds excellent.

Thanks about the ants - I'm going to have to have a serious think - one year recently, I found one lot purely by chance, swarming an air brick  they were heading into the house in their hundreds  I've never run so fast to get the ant killer :( then yesterday I peeled back some temporary plastic mulch I'd laid down, and found about a square yard thick with ants and their eggs :( just a few feet from the house. I don't wamt to kill things that aren't doing any harm, but I'm not having hundreds of ants in the house :(

Sorry for the hijack! I'm glad your courgette flowers look good, and here's hoping your day goes well.

Not a hijack, its good to wonder about these things. I don't have any ants in the house as far as I know but there are lots outside in various places including what I assume is a big nest in the compost bin . I'd quite like to empty the bin as since we got a food bin here and also I'm on my own now, I don't really use the compost bin. I'd definitely need to get rid of the ants before I emptied it and offered it to someone else. I g@@gled what to do a while ago and it didn't seem to complicated.

Thats good to hear. Today, I forked over the spot I found the nest, and it seems okay - there's some still there, of course. I was digging a little way away from there too, near the little sage bush I just planted, and that was all very happy.

Tricky about the compost bin, certainly for food waste. I want to start using mine again for garden waste, but its almost like I have to relearn how things go in: will flowers go to seed and root in there? What roots will regrow? Ivy stems grow roots, what about them? Of course, I may be over-thinking it :rotfl:

    Sleep well.

Been tired today as took a while to get to sleep last night. I did have a coffee around 4pm which is later than usual for me and it was quite strong tasting so that probs didn't help.

£25 from 1poll arrived in my account and I've also been paid for my July invoice already from my biggest job :j. So, over the weekend I'll work out how to allocate the money to various cc and pots etc. The CC that I pay off in full has taken a bashing this month so that will eat up a lot of it :p

I had an email from my energy co. as they review payments every 6 months and they are reducing my DDs  My deal involves a higher payment in the winter months and lower in the summer and both are being reduced. I think by about £5 a month though I'll need to read the email through again to check.

Another early start tomorrow so I'm going to sort out my stuff for the morning and then head off to bed. No coffee consumed today so hopefully that will help.
