Fog!!! Yikes. When it's here, the heat feels very summery, but it isn't yet, really, is it. Hope it's nicer today.

Been doing lots of thinking about work and ways to increase the work I have as I've been earning very little lately. I'm going to wait until I know the result of a meeting next week then depending on the outcome, will put other plans into action. Trouble is, I quite like not working so much but that doesn't reduce the debt or help towards my retirement. Its all about getting the balance right I know.
Is it too soon to think of yourself as "semi retired", teapot? I certainly know what you mean about liking not working so much.

I suppose I am technically semi retired though I don't name it as such. I have over £3000 debt on CCs that I need to shift so I might have to take on extra work in the shortish term to clear that [if I can find the work].

Looked after GNiece this morning, think I wore her out as she fell asleep in my arms. Big old furry boy must have been jealous as he insisted in joining her on my knee and he fell asleep too :D

Her mum took me out for lunch after which was nice then I had physio. Caught up with some work related emails when I got back and did some surveys. No gardening again as despite a sunny morning, it changed in the afternoon and was very wet and windy with a fog again. The temperature isn't getting into double figures much up here yet.

Got a reply from Ll@yds about my claim re OH's PPI. I'm to get £115 back and they'll send a cheque in the next 28 days so definitely worth claiming. I should be able to claim back some tax as well if I can work out how to do that

Working tomorrow so am defrosting some bread for sarnies and then need to have an early night.

That sounds a nice day as well! Regarding the working, I know you've already got plans - have you a professional organisation/ agency to help, or are you doing it all yourself?

I am a member of a couple of professional organisations KC but am mostly following up my own contacts and things I know about locally.

It was  though my arm was beginning to go to sleep and I was rather glad I'd gone to the loo before I sat down and they both arrived :D

Went out this morning to post an online sale and my friend's b'day pressie. Surprised by how warm and sunny it was as I'd been expecting rain but no sign of that at all.

Did some washing and hung it out then finally planted the rhubarb I bought a few weeks ago and did some weeding. I've planted some salad leaf seeds and will put in another lot in a few weeks. Sat in the garden reading my book after and was joined by big old furry boy who spent the time moving between the sun and the shade. He's quite a chilled out boy and didn't move when a pigeon landed on the bird bath for a drink while he was lying under it in the shade

Cheque for £50 arrived from NV so I'll pay that in next week, should also get £25 from OP soon and both can go towards the CC bill. Did 3 Prolific surveys today for £8.50 so thats building up nicely.

Better go and do the washing up :(
