So 66 million people in the UK, x €100 = €6.6 billion saved per year.
I wish we would use Giga and Tera instead of American billions.
My heart always misses a beat when they talk about "£60 billion debt...." that is a million each!I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science

Well I did my bit to help UK workers, I've just taken delivery of a new Jaguar, 2l diesel. It's great, not very MSE, but you cant take it with you, and I can more than afford it these days. Whatever you say its better than a 15 year old Mondeo with 180,000 miles on the clock
PS, I've called it 'Shaguar' on the app, which lets me start it remotely from my IPhone for when its cold outside. Ummm nice heated steering wheel for those frosty days.
Still the MSE'ers will get to drive it in 15-20 years time
;75303949]So the brexiteers tell us. They go strangely quiet when asked for credible examples.
Thats the thing about future opportunities. You dont generally know what they are until the situation changes? Taking advantage of change makes it an opportunity.
No doubt they go "strangely quiet" when you're berating them because they know you wont listen anyway.
Extremely bemused that you're blind to it - but not surprised as Remainers seem to not be able to see anything other than being humped senseless year in year out by the EU, but heres some off the top of my head :-
There will be big changes across pretty much all industries, companies moving here, companies moving away from here, companies moving to here. New products being imported by new importers, products being exported to new markets. Every single one of those events generates opportunity.
Massive system and process changes across many industries will evoke thousands of projects to make that happen which will generate a lot of work, particularly across banking, the public sector, etc.
I'm an IT contractor and expecting to see big change in IT, which will generate project work, which is good news for me.
My wife is in contact centre management. Big change there as some new contracts move to the UK, some moving away. A new office opening in Dublin for them too.
A massive change like this brings massive opportunity. Always has, always will. Its about looking for that opportunity and taking advantage of it rather than sitting on your hands and bleating on about the past. But each to their own.
What do you see happening imminently in your world thats going to make your life terrible? Are you at risk of redundancy because of Brexit?0 -
;75305224]And the credible examples?
And yet you seem surprised your friends go quiet when you berate them - totally seeing why....
Just extrapolating out one of ALL of the areas i gave you there of credible examples. The contact centre group my wife works for could take your approach of "oh this is terrible, look at all these problems, this is going to be awful" but havent. They've already been pro-actively looking for opportunities to grow. They've won 3 new contracts with Irish clients looking to build a UK presence post Brexit, creating 200 new jobs this month and with a +++ ramp up happening. They're also opening a Dublin office and will be expanding there too.
More than happy to PM names, sites, company name, contact details if you dont believe me, but by now you've probably your fingers in your ears and going "LA LA LA LA LA LA" anyway....0 -
Wholly loving how the remainers have made this in to a Brexit whinging thread even though these JLR job losses have nothing to do with Brexit....
"5,000 jobs lost"
"oh must be because of Brexit - see told you it was a bad idea"
:rolleyes:0 -

No LA LA La-ing here.
Interesting example you've given. Opportunities to do things which would be unnecessary and/or easier without Brexit.0 -

As i said i can see why your friends go quiet when you start talking about Brexit - talk about trying to move the goal posts!
You asked for Brexit opportunities. I gave you examples, and a real world happening right now one. This company is able to expand because of Brexit. They're embracing the change and opportunity. No Brexit = No expansion.
Its not all doom and gloom - only if it suits you to be of course.
I plan on making the most of it. I'm an IT contractor, so starting to see / expecting to see loads of new projects spun up across the UK and Ireland that i can get involved with.
You seem to be very negative without demonstrating the down side for your own situation? Are you facing imminent redundancy or destitution because of Brexit?0
