Barclaycard Platinum Credit Card Offers

hello there,
I have had my Barclaycard Platinum CC for more than 8 years now and has had few different offers over the time like 2.4 % BT offer and similar money transfer offers as well; the last offer was in 2017 which I used and that ended Dec 2018. I have fully used these appropriately when available.
Now my question is, have people got these offers over and over again or it will not stop. I need to do some Balance Transfer in June/July and was wondering any point keeping this card, hoping to get some repeat offers or just cancel the card now and then re-apply after 6 months, any advise ?

Hi,
If it were me, I would definitely keep the card as the account is eight years old, and will have a positive influence on your credit history, when viewed by potential lenders.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Thanks willing2learn, never thought of that, my credit limit has been increased on a regular basis and this one of the cc I have had the most and with a generous credit limit too, hence not keen on letting it go, just wanted to check if anyone has been offered a repeat of what they got in the past ( say last year or the year before) ?0

Some people get repeat offers. Others, of course, don't.0

There are several threads about Barclaycard offers. For example:

They appear to have tightened up and are being more selective than they previously were.0 -
interesting read, thanks Nebulous2 for the Link0

I have been with BC for about 20 years and through migration have now amassed 4 cards with them. Every month I receive offers for money transfer and balance transfers. With some very low fees.0 -

I tend to bung a couple of quid on it once a year (just to keep the thing active) and I probably won't cancel it, as it's not eating anything and I do like to keep a couple of odds and sods, just in case we should need to use them.A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.0 -
My offers very recently stopped, I know I was getting junk mail from barclays at the very least up until last autumn so a few months back, but to day I logged in to the web site and noticed no offers exist.
Its kinda ironic given that I have an interest in taking one up now.
What has changed for me?
Well currently the card has a balance of around £250 with a limit of nearly 9k. I had started using the card for occasional small purchases, but didnt realise I had set the DD to min payments only, which probably doesnt make me look too good on their algorithms, even with the low balance. I have now changed the DD setting. Otherwise I got no idea.0
