Usage Allowance
Dear Customer,
This email is to advise you that last month you exceeded the usage allowance for your BBSP0012 service.
Your current monthly usage allowance is 5 GB.
Your total usage for last month was 5.93 GB.
Don't worry, we're not going to take any action this month. However if you exceed the allowance next month we will raise a charge based on £0.30 for every extra GB you use.
Alternatively, if you wish to avoid usage charges completely, you can always upgrade to BT Total Broadband Option 3, offering Unlimited Usage for just £24.99 per month. For more details about this offer or for any other enquiries about this Email, please call 0800 707 6044, between 8am and 5pm, Mondays to Fridays.
Thank you for choosing BT Total Broadband.
Best wishes,
BT Total Broadband team
Am I reading this right or what? We received an email today from BT as enclosed. Are they serious? We went over our GB usage by under 1 GB so next month if we go over it again we will be charged .30 pence for every GB we go over in a month. Or should we upgrade from our present 14.00 a month internet coverage to £24.99? Am I stupid or are they stupid? Or is this a misprint in the price of charging for 1 extra GB? Either I am losing the plot or BT is!!!!!!!!!!! Taffy

Where can I get 20M for £10, or is this like Virgins unlimited broadband for £10, if you pay £85 for television, and mobile as well?Fred Bloggs0 -

20meg for a tenner , you're not asking much .
BE is available for £18 (plus £11 for your BT line rental) for the UP TO 24meg service , if its in your area
https://www.bethere.co.uk/
You can take broadband on its own with Virgin Media , no need to take phone or TV . The 2meg service is £18 on its own but if look round your local shopping centre you might see a VM stall and you can get the 2meg for tenner (but only £10 from these stalls for some reason) . Rumour is the 2meg service will be 4 meg by next year .

I joined BT (8meg, option 1) 20th Dec 2006, since then I have had lots of probs mainly with the line speed averaging at 1meg!!!!!!
I have received 5 emails this year -
Dear Customer,

Your current monthly usage allowance is 5 GB.
Your total usage for last month was 11.98 GB
Even though its 30p for every GB over the 5GB following 2 consecutive months, the real issue is that your line speed will be throttled back at peak times!!!
I am moving to Tiscali now, NO usage allowance AND cheaper than BT
