Wonderful news GrannyDP1 !!
Gers, your chair looks so comfortable.
Sorry you got bad news Taff.
Glad Holly's got it over with0 -
Congratulations dp1.
Thanks for the update Nelski.
Back from the hospital, bloods were fine, still rising but much more slowly. We got back to find Ziggy had dismembered a glittery hedgehog while we were out.0 -
Congratulations Granny dp1!
Cold here today, went for a walk with OH and Mossy this morning, my hope for 2019 is to do a 30min walk every day and try to lose a kilo a month.
DD4 and girls were here earlier, they had a nice time with DGD7, back to school, crèche etc on Monday.
Visit to dental technician this morning in respect of new denture, 2 more visits before it is ready, can't wait as eating is very uncomfortable at present.
Glad to hear that Holly's op went well, trust that the after care will work well for her.
DD1 on dinner duty tonight, probably going to be chicken as that's her usual quick dinner.
Hugs to -taff.
Hope that everyone enjoys the weekend.
Marie

Evening folks.
TAFF I am absolutely gutted for you. You have sounded incredibly strong up to this blow and I hope you get some answers from a nurse, preferably the nice one. x
DP1 welcome to the grandma club. Lovely name for the new baby x
GERS That is one handsome chair. I love the colour. Here's to many happy hours with your feet up in front of the fire. Glass of wine in hand of course!
SNOOZER good news re Steve's bloods remaining much the same x
CRANKY that sounds very worrying news re your friend x
I had a very pleasant afternoon with DB and SIL touring the scenic route round the countryside to change my posh slippers! I changed them for a small and they are perfect. So snug and warm. The most expensive slippers I have ever owned! I must remember not to do my usual trick of going out to the bins in them or out back to feed the birds and getting them all grubby!
We had a lovely cream tea and coffee before heading back home. Yummy! There's nothing to beat a fresh well baked scone, loaded with jam and cream!
Have a nice evening folks and good luck with the spreadsheets SILVER-OLDIE. I wouldn't know where to start!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Taff, I am sorry the news you had wasn't what you (and we) hoped for. I hope you are able to get support from the nurse you like.

DP1 just delurking to say congratulations. I was born 64 years ago weighing 2lb 1 oz in December instead of March. I thrived and have ever since. So I am sending positive vibes and best wishes to your granddaughter and all of the family.

TA, where did you have your cream tea? We're always happy to find new, good teashops.0

SNOOZER Not exactly a traditional tea shop. We had ventured away from the Dales and into the Ribble Valley on our way back and we had our cream tea at the Pavilion at Shackletons Home and Garden in Chatburn. Lovely store/garden centre and lovely coffee shop, with waitress service, if you have never visited it. x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream.
